Depends if your ESC has a BEC or not. If it does, you need to research if using 2 BECs from the two ESCs will interfere with each other. If so, you'll need to disable one of them.

After 4 hours last night, I got the new DS415M servos on the ailerons and swapped out the Assan GA410 gyro for a Spartan Quark.

The DS415M's were a little smaller than the Futaba 3101 servos I had in there, so I need to make new mounting plates. I also mounted the gyro in a different location as before because of the wire lengths coming from the new gyro. I had to make a bunch of new wire extensions too. I made a 4-way "y-cable" for the first time. Both aileron servos and both lights in the nacelles all plug into the gyro lead in the fuselage.

After I got it all together, the ailerons didn't work. After some troubleshooting, I traced the problem to a short in my 4-way wire harness. That killed a bunch of time.

It's all working now and seems must smoother and less noisy than the previous setup. I can't wait for the weather to clear up so I can go test it out.

I have been doing tons of parachute drops with this Otter. Check out my parachute blog if interested. Great photos and videos there.

Very cool. Now I need to practice FF a little more. Maybe I'll bring my Parkzone T-28 next time to hold a little tighter. Great landing on the Otter. Thanks and see you soon.

I just received a Turnigy A-Spec 3s, 2200, 65C and tried it out for the first time.

First, I plugged in my 5 year old Turnigy Flightmax 3s, 2200, 30C and measured 175 watts at full throttle.

Next, I plugged in the new A-Spec and expect 220ish watts, but measured 370!

I had to check out the takeoff distance, so I gunned it, got up in about 5-8 feet, and then went vertical until I reached my cruising altitude.

Wow!

Here's a cool video shot from a quadcopter. You can see the Otter taking off and landing. I was training someone on the buddy box.

I crashed my DH6 yesterday heavy damage to nose section basically it is totally gone as my plane nose dived. Not sure exactly what happened. Anyway I would appreciate if anyone has any plans out there that can help me rebuild the nose section.
