Walkera 4#3B, Novus FP Hangout -Specs on first page

Hi guys,

I figured it's time to create a new thread dedicated to the new OFFICIAL WALKERA BRUSHLESS MOTOR systems available for the walkera 4?3? series Micro Heli's.

I have mine on the way for the 4#3B, complete with the new 2406A Rx, tail motor and chassis!

Since mine hasn't arrived yet I encourage those of you who get yours first to start without me...in the hopes that your help and advice will help me and others that have them on the way get flying ASAP!

Once mine gets here I will do my best to give detailed info on my experiences with it, any mods I come up with and as many facts as I can squeeze out of the testing materials I have.

I'd also like to encourage "test bench" type facts, specs, and accurate measurements.

We've been starved of facts lately with all the speculation on these "soon to be released" products.

Most of all...HAVE FUN!!!

Later,
Jay

Edit: Thanks to a great suggestion from microkites I have changed the name of the thread to include all versions of the new brushless systems (because) "people are going to be comparing them anyway- might as well go with the flow".

Thanks microkites!

Ha, your right!

If you can post clear pics for me, I'll count 'em up and add them!

Thanks,

I think the original with an A head flies the best. Since I broke my A frame I had to go back to flying the original with an A head and blades. I think it flies better and it has to be the gearing.

I ordered up my BL kit today. Probably be a week/week in a half to have a vertict.

I think they are.

I have been using a stock G motor (pinion) on my B (main gear) for about a month now, and I heard someone say they have used the Walkera 4#3B BL motor on their 4G3 and it fits. (He's a vendor so I don't want to name him.)

Can anyone confirm?

Brettw and MakMov,

Sounds great! Can't wait to try mine too!

I got sick and tired of the brushed motors with my testing of the Q motor.

I heard that too, however, the tail doesn't keep up with the BL well and Walkera is still working out that detail.

Did anyone know about this?

PWM to PPM converter:
http://www.bsdmicrorc.com/index.php?productID=868

Though it's not as relevent now with the new BL ready 4in1 RX's, but it still may be of interest to some.

It is of great interest, at least to me, for converting the tail as well to BL with a little help of the 2 grm outrunner from Hobby City.

both brushed motor from 4G3 and 4#3 B have 16T pignon.

both BL motor from walkera for 4G3 and 4#3 B have 11000KV.....

well...walkera do the job

the question:where can we order (for a cheap and real price ) this 0.25 module pinion?????

I run with Hextronik rewind BL(11100kv) from Hobbycity on my 4G3 with stock gear,I get about 7' with 20c 400 lipo....

I have the same rewind BL on my 4#3 also with stock gear(8.1Rtio mod 0.25) and get 9'30 with stock lipo and B blade...(hooover@40%)

with 76/10 gear ratio ,Mod 0.4 , B blade I get 7'30

*****

the target KV for both model(4 G/# 3) is 11000kv with stock gear but power must be hi for 4G3....

I think with outruner BL it could be best with biger pinion(like 18 or 20T) cause of the extra torque/inruner)

for 4#3, the Q gear ratio and Q blade with outruner BL shoud be the best .

****

160 for 4G3 gear and 10 for ratio

terence from chinesejade told me that the pinions tooth count are different for the 4#3b and 4g3 brushless motors.
first version 4#3 had 12t pinion 72t spur.

The tail motors and pinions between the brushless 4#3B and the 4G3 are the same, not sure about the main motor though.

Cheers

The tail motors look the same ... but they might have different winding?
