My First Airbrush Job

Thanks to everyone on this thread for all the tips. I broke down and bought me the deluxe airbrush from Harbor Freight, got the Creatix paints and went to town. I am pleased with my first time hopefully will get better. If I can find my camera, I will post a pic soon. Still have a lot to learn, just takes practice.

Now I need to find me some flame stencils, I can't draw for crap...lol

Do you clear coat all your depron jobs? I didn't do that, should I?

Thanks

rcnxs,

I have used minwax as sort of a clearcoat on most of my depron models. You just have to be careful, you don't want to add more weight than you have too.

rc cal,
dude, the plane looks good! I really like the ripped metal effect, looks good. I might have to take that idea

Adam,

Do you have a video on painting the sheet metal panels?

I'm building a model that I would like to use that effect.

Thanks
Dalton

DaDesign,

I don't have a video of doing the metal panels. I can do one, but can't promise how soon it would be.

My first attempt after reading this thread. Thanks for the inspiration!

This is the bottom of my YF-19b "Backlash" from my blog. It is unfinished, de-skinned PBIII. Need to figure out what to do in the center bottom...maybe a wrap around stripe. The top side is the better side, but I wanted to "practice" on the bottom. I did have a little trouble with paint sticking to the masks.

Sorry about the poor quality picture, I used my camera phone to hide the flaws!
