13.5 inch parkzone wing with Video-NEW 4 ch PZ mini ghost

thread starts with 9 inch and grows to 13.5 wing
starting post 39 - mini ghost 4 ch parkzone brick

just wanted to share these pics of what I was flying today
Vapor board
Steves chip
1 cell esc
2 gram brushless
airhogs prop
9 inch span
130 mah battery
15.5 gram auw
15 grams thrust
last week we estimated close to 20 mph in the gym
not bad for single cell and stock wind on motor
I'de like to thank e-doc on his prop choice for this motor
happy new year to all
Bill Lowe

some bad pics of how I solder the esc to board
break off s pin and use + and - pins to solder on top of stock battery lead
solder the Steve or Bob thing on the other side of esc pins
very clean, no extra wire
works with old boards too

Sheesh the converter looks big in those pictures.

Very nice builds!

I've got a spare Vapor brick, converters(obviously) a couple of the 2 gram motors and 1 gram escs(less then half a gram with wires removed)
I just need a plane to put it all in.

The foam prototype was fast. Much faster than the several brushed wings Bill had been experimenting with. I can't wait to see this one fly.

The 2 gram motor with an AA prop runs cool and puts out nearly as much static thrust as the GWS 2.5X1.0 and larger props. Thrust at speed is much greater. I flew Bill's prototype with these 2 props back to back. The 2 gram with the AA prop was much faster. In addition, the larger props would pull the voltage down quickly to the dreaded 3.4 volt cutoff on the Vapor Brick.

Bill,
Does your yellow wing in post 1 have dihedral? Is that going to be standard construction?
Are you going to make a slightly larger one for a little less speed and easier loops and rolls?

yes dihedral, only 1or 2 degrees
Tina says we think alike e-doc
added two ribs
13.5 inch span
15 gram auw
7 mm on aa prop
stock 70 mah battery
would hold flight with very low power, two or three clicks
the glide-WOW- I didn't want to put a motor on it
not slower-it should be a 1 cell rocket

I have a similar flying wing, untested yet, but I cannot get the controls to work in the right direction. Using a DX7 transmitter in Delta wing mode, if the ailerons are correct, the elevators are backwards, and vis versa...suggestions?? The rx and the control horn locations/orientation is identical to yours....Thanks!!
