Looking great Doug, and will be a real hit when you get it all dressed out.

Have you one anymore on the Short Sky Van?

Wow! great job on the cockpit, gunner details. Paint job on the crew is awesome. I know that kind of paint detail take days to do (well at least for me)

I did fiberglass the entire plane and then I used polycrylic (from Minwax) to glue it down

the bottom color is now on (grey)

I always mask and then paint the clear parts black before the final color so that it is dark on the inside of the frames to give it some depth.

Looks great Doug!! What color scheme are you using? My father-in-law was a crew member on a B-24 for quite some time before being shot down.

Keep up the nice work

I am going to paint it in the tan (Dessert Pink) color of the planes that bombed the oil refinery in Ploesti Romania. I am going to try and paint the nose art of "Grumpy" on it but we shall see as it comes together.

the sky van

The sky van was really just to gain some skill with the foam and it was more of a fluke that it flew so well but it is alive and well in my garage and I still fly it often. I am not planing to do anything else to it but I did put lights on it to fly at night and it has brought the cops to my house more than once now wondering what was in the air around our hood.
