Great !
Usb sim cables are overpriced here from 15-30 euros, and this usb adapter costs 5e!

Hi,

That USB dongle is "just" a audio card giving you a microphone input and a headphone output.
If you have sound already on your PC / notebook than you dont need it.

You actually need just a mono 3.5 mm plug to another plug and few electronic components to interface to a JR radio... I'll try and find some links...

Also have a look at the top of this sub forum, the USB converter there is very nice.
link http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=508122

... OK found it ...

Have a look here
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=502412
post 4 goes step by step.

What radio do you have?

Its probably not worth the trouble though.
You can get one from ebay for <US$10 delivered
http://cgi.ebay.com/Flight-Simulator...3A1%7C294%3A50
...if the link doesn't work go to www.ebay.com and search for " usb fms "
I think these willactually give you a proper joystick interface and not a sound card trick interface ..

Cheers

Thanks Zlatko,
for now programming chips, which i would like to do is out of question due to lack of time for making, buying equipment, learning.
I have audio card, and i know how to make my futaba 9cs to work in FMS but i could not make it work with any other sim, tried everything.
So I was thinking that it would be easier to run it trough usb port and sim(emu)ulate usb joystick.
My question is can this usb sound card work with aerofly or g4?And what else i need except sim programme?

In my country ordering from ebay is not worth of hassle due to high shipping costs + insane duty costs because we are not in EU. I have option to serch and find it (localy) for 15-30e or buy this gadget for 5e .

Hi Nikolash,

The USB sound card will not work with the other simulators if your normal sound card doesnt. The USB sound card will not be able to simulate a USB joystick.

The link I gave you on ebay had it for <US$10 ( ~8e ? ) delivered ... but I couldn't find Serbia in the listed countries ... ... perhaps ask the seller if he is willing to ship it to you ?

Did you try SmartPropoPlus http://www.smartpropoplus.com/BlueAn...load_Frame.asp
with PPJoy http://www.geocities.com/deonvdw/PPJoy.htm ?

PPJoy "should" give you a standard joystick driver with the input through SmartPropoPlus from the sound card.

Never tried it though.

DealExtreme has a $8USD E-sky USB sim cable (including shipping worldwide) that they claim works with "FMS(free) G2,G3,Aerofly", though I think it may require other tools for the commercial software to recognize the input. Includes plugs for all the popular brands: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.11996

The also have others, including ones with a full sim TX:

If you have the time to mess around with it, you could probably make it work. It took forever and a lot of tweaking before I got my Spektrum to work through my audio card with ClearView, but I finally got it working.
