Hello Andrew

1.We are testing to possibility of 50g sq.m kevlar clothes’s pod on the Binary-III due to the MAX load for Binary-III is cncern to the pylon on the Boom. The Result is succeeful, we could reduce Approxomately 10 grams on the pod.

2.The second updated item is we shortern the boom to balance the the C.G. positon.
The length of the fuselage is 1070mm. no need extra weight on the pod if you used 22 g battery with 10g Receiver.

3.We change theV-mount elevator to regular Elevator pylon, that reduced the weight on tail at least 1.5g.

4.We used 2mm thickness carbon pin as the lanching peg.

Greeting

Harry

This looks great!
Do you have any photos of the fabrication process?
I would like to do this as well.

question

How much room is in the pod? Specifically, what is the internal width at the widest point?

I'm wondering if I can build this up with pkz spektrum ar6400 rx.

for me, you can't use it with an AR6400.... you will not have the power and precision (Neutral point) required for this plane....

hi,

i have a old AR6400 in my FOX SAL.... it's 28mm wide.

the external binary 900 wide is 35mm, so it must fit perfectly inside.

BUT, if you want to use a binary900 for what he was designed, i really think it's not the good receiver for this glider.... (too light servos and a risk of losing control when flying too far)
this receiver will make you win maybe 10gr.... (2 D47 servos),
these 10 grams can be saved with the lipo size easily, but there is the limit of the CoG....
mine is 150gr with 3D47 (no rudder), 2S lipo 220, AR6100E and "how high" altimeter. NO LEAD!
i frequently add it 25gr of weight when there is wind.
i tried it one time in the slope... at 175 gr it was way much too light. i had to add 60gr more of lead! (total weight was 235gr) and i'm sure i could flew it with even more weight!

regards

Benjamin

Thanks Benjamin- Good information there. I guess I'm trying to mate to incompatible technologies. I should either build a micro glider on the AR6400 or build the dlg/hotliner on a beefier board.

I've already begun the microglider project. Still researching the dlg.

Thanks again for your help.

anyone got a copy of the V2 instructions they could email me, or even a link to download some? I have a V2 kit here that I have mislaid the instruction manual for.

Harry came through big time with the manual. Thanks heaps buddy!

Cutting Ailerons

Would I assuse that you are not supposed to cut the ailerons completely off of the wing. I think I read that you just cut along the two lines on the top of the wing. Is the fiberglass suppost to act as the hinge?
