Excellent photos! Your birds almost look like plastic kits - nice work on the weathering. It really creates a sense of realism and with a good camera you can pick out those details in flight. Nice work! My Mustang in the pix above is actually covered in real aluminum as I've been on a mission over the last 18 months to find a solution for eliminating the "basketball texture" on the foamies. With the outline of these kits getting better and better, they make for a good base for applying some finer finishing techniques. AUW is around 5 lbs 10 oz with some lead in the nose and battery. Maidened last week and will try to get some video on the next couple of flights. Do you have any build blogs on your birds? |

Unfortunately I never kept build logs.. I should have though. But I did post some progress reports in the various threads like the parkzone spitfire thread and a couple in the 109 and p47 thread. The spitfire has the most details.
The aluminum looks fantastic. Do you know what the weight DIFFERENCE might be? Is it aluminum tape? |
