Sharp photos Rocket! thanks for sharing

The quality of those photos is outstanding; could you share a little bit about your camera setup?

absolutely..

Canon 5D mkII (trying to fenagle a mk3)
24-70 2.8 (use this a lot for the wide shots)
sometimes the fisheye 15mm 2.8
135 f2 (my sharpest lens)
teleconverter 1.4X II
70-200 2.8 NON IS

Those are the ones I use the most. A lot of times I'll go to the field with the 24-70, the 135 and the teleconverter and I'm set.

If I'm flying the smaller stuff farther away I'll take the 70-200 and stick the converter on that as well.

Other lenses I use not nearly as often
85 1.8
50 1.4
17-40

Apart from equipment -- they're just the tools -- I use Photoshop cs4 still but I like my workflow. Alienskin filters. And shoot RAW and process in Adobe raw.

Hope that sheds some light (PUN)!

Me and a few fellas from the club brought a few planes out to the local airport today for a display. We all went on a ride in a 1927 Ford Trimotor It was incredible! I have not got but one photo at the moment, but there are more to come!

This is my still unfinished Hangar 9 1/4 scale J-3 Cub sitting on the tarmac. It has been fully recovered in fabric inside and out, with stitching patiently applied based on 3-views. Maidens have been flown, still have some airbrushing and decals to take care of. She is a scale dream to fly

Awww shucks... I wish I could take credit for it. My buddy Dan took the shots with an SLR with a "trash can" lens on it... He's a hell of a photog (and pilot), I was just trying to share. I'll pass along the complement to him, Thank you.
I'll post more as they come up. These were taken in South Florida at a private field that had a turbine "Fly in"...
