That must be a composite or a rendering of some kind. Not a satellite photo.

I've seen this one on RC Groups somewhere, maybe aerial photography. Another telling reason it's a composite/artwork as opposed to a simple photo is the fact that the ocean depths are properly shaded.
The night view on the righthand side looks to be adapted from the night view of the earth composite that was circulating around. Gonna look to see if there are any larger versions of this. Karl |

It also lets you see that the Viking or supposed Irish monks' route to N. America (Scandinavia/Ireland, Faroes, Iceland, Greenland) didn't take them too far from land. Still rather them than me
