Bob, here's my contribution to your collection of bluetiful music: Blue Champagne, from 1941.

Blue Champagne - purple shadows and Blue Champagne,
With the echoes that still remain I keep a blue rendezvous.
Bubbles rise like a fountain before my eyes
And they suddenly crystallize to form a vision of you.

All the plans we started, all the songs we sang
Each little dream we knew seem to overtake me like a boomerang.

Blue is the sparkle, gone is the tang;
Each old refrain keeps returning as I remain
With my memories and Blue Champagne
To toast the dream that was you.

OK, guys I'll be trying it out as a sticker tonight. I'll post a finished photo if it comes out ok.

I didn't do this picture from scratch, the original was taken from an advertisement I came across in my travels. Heavily tweaked it though.

Skycruiser/Nick:

I could sure use a relatively large version of the "logo" for my TX case. A lot of people here use the same old Harbor Freight camera case.

Well, after running a few through the printer I can do 55mm, 90mm or 130mm high. They're laser printed so should be lightfast, unlike a lot of inkjet prints.

I ducked home at lunchtime and put one on a little flying wing I'm making. What I do is cut the image out (it's just printed on plain paper), iron down a patch of doculam laminating film over the top, trip round the edge leaving the doculam about 1/8" bigger than the image. Rub pva glue on the back of the paper, then when it's dryish iron it on the wing. It sticks fine on pretty much anything - bare wood, foam, covering film. I had one done like this on another model, it was still stuck down well after 5 years hard flying, so it seems to last ok.

I'll send some doculam over to Bob with the prints, no charge my end but Bob could probably do with a donation to cover postage. The doculam I have is a satin finish, if you don't like it you could grab some gloss from a copy shop that does laminating.

Let me know how many you guys want. Posting in two weeks time.

Nick

Oh one more thing. I'll probably put a frame around the type to make it easier to cut out.

Hey Nick that is perfect. Is there any way you can send me a digital copy? I have my own color laser and I can resize it myself with photoshop. I can PM you my email address.

I was completely "V-tail" boy of late years... But today I can say - my new blue bird with classic tail is coming. It is my BOLERO, developed direct for british 200 W/kg and our FXJ class. So, this is hot news from Blue Plaid Squadron - Slovakia.

Looks very nice. How are you attaching it to the boom? Any sizes and weights?

Nick, I think I look slightly more like the guy on the left. I am 1/2 British.

Palo, I am proud of you for putting that tail on your new plane. It looks wonderfull.

Ya know Lyle, that does kinda look like us in a very small way.
