Good luck with the maiden Nick...I built an ugly stick a few weeks ago and have been belting that around. Just been too windy for sailplanes.Hope its been calmer down your way.
I guess Bobs models are in hibernation till spring..

Hey Palo,

Very nice model. You could always go to a GWS radio. They have a pretty light blue colored case on them. Would go well with the attire for the Squadron. Or as mentioned, paint it. Glad to see that you are still building beautiful models. See Bob, we share our weather with everyone, except Nick.
Must be that bottom half of the hemisphere thing.

Grunta,

Nice to see you check in. Boy have you got alot of reading to catch up on. Good luck there.

I don't go out when it's that hot either. Stay in the pool or in the air conditioning.

Yep, it was well into the 30s down here today as well. I was out on the road photographing bridges.

Good news, the Chrysalis is finished! Taking it down to dunnydin for the weekend so hopefully get some pics and vid down there.

Sounds like a pretty sound plan if you ask! But then again with the fine weather that you guys are having down, wiould be a nice trade tothe weather and the flooding that we are having now. Tempps are not so bad, if the humidity would taper off a little. Would be a lot more comfortable. Oh well. Time for more building.

Grunta, post a pic of your park glider. Lets see what this little critter looks like.

I can see the wisdom in that as it took years of good food, wine, beer and vodka to get the thing.

Probably. My proof is about 10" high but I can scale down to whatever I want. laser printed so no worries about fading. What I've done in the past was cut it out then iron a layer of doculam over the picture, going past the cut edge by 1/8 inch. Then brush some pva glue on the back of the paper, let it dry, then iron the whole lot down onto a wing. The glue softens with the heat and sticks the paper to the monokote, then the layer of doculam seals the whole thing down.

I'm sending some mail to Bob soon, if anyone wants one let me know and I'll print them off for you and send them with the doculam to him. Bob can distribute them. That way there won't be a lot of overseas postage.

Assuming that's OK with you, Bob.
