Howz it fly with that E400? Enuf power? I just swapped out my Hacker A20/20L (bent the prop adaptor; will order another) for an earlier version of the E400 from Value (28-30 1020kv I think); it's definitely not as much power as my Hacker. Went from an APC 10x3.8 to an 11x3.8, and still don't have quite as much power, but it's adequate. 5 more flights today on the Sabre; I love how easy I can torque roll it now! Makin' me think I'm a good pilot lol

Put the Hitec in the rudder; it centers better, but I may have had a slight issue with the quick connectors before, as they were too tight and didn't rotate freely on the rudder servo control horn. Set them up a bit looser with a drop of CA on the knurled nut; it does center better now. Put the Emax MG servo in for the stripped plastic one in the wing; flew 4 more today on the Buck 1.5 and it's better now on the rudder..

I may have to try mine without the gear, with my new setup it seems a tad nose heavy. I'll know for sure when I fly it. My last one was pretty much neutral, and even though I usually prefer just a tiny bit nose heavy I really liked the way the Sabre flew neutral. I also like to have the lg, it seems to help with my orientation to see them sticking out when flying. Although I do fly my smaller foamies without lg and it dosn't seem to bother me. If it's too nose heavy I'll try without the lg to see how it goes. Hopefully today I'll get to maiden it, temps will only be in the low 40's but the wind is supposed to die down about mid afternoon. If the wind dies I'll probably give it a try.

Finally got to maiden my new Sabre today. Everything went well, switched from an EMP 11x5.5 to an APC 11x4.7 sf and like the slofly better. Couldn't quite tell where my cg was since the wind was @ 14mph with a lot of up and down drafts so hard to tell exactly what was happening inverted. Ran six packs through and it's so nice to have it back.

I managed to weasel out of work a half hour early today and stopped at the park in Manassas to get some Sabre time in. Flew four packs before it started getting a little cool on the hands and the light was fading. With all the new equipment on this one it definitely flies different than the last one. I may just be a bit too nose heavy, still have to fly it more to be sure. At least the wind was under 5mph so I got a chance to really work on my radio settings, I've almost got it where I like it. I will probably move the esc back a little and I think that will set the cg where it needs to be. I'm liking my new setup much better, amazing what another 100+ watts will do, and the switch to the slofly prop has helped a lot as well. Looks like the rest of the week the weather will keep me grounded though.
