I'm still building up my new easy star.......I'm not slow.....just the weather really isn't good enough to fly so I'm taking my time anyway do you guys think the elevator contol surface would need beefing up when running a 300 watt power system? I'm concerned about it flexing and losing control authority when at speed. I put a small carbon strip in my last ez's control surface, but I don't have enough right now to add it to the new one.

Thanks

I've been happily lurking this group since January 2006 when I purchased my EZ, and it's about time I express my thanks to everyone who has made a contribution to making me understand it. I don't fly very often because I'm somewhat scared. Seems like I can't break away from the simulators. Thank you very much and Happy New Year to all of you.

Hi Jim. I was in the same situation. But then I figured, what the hay. Juts fly. The worst that would happen is you'll bust up $60 worth of foam that you can fix in 10 mins. You were bad on the sims and now look what you can do. Same with the real thing.. Go for it.

Perhaps you've heard: bad flying weather is good modeling weather.

Just gotta jump in with both feet. Youll be alright. I think I speak for each and every one of us here when I say "Ive been there brother" and still learning with every flight. Fly, laugh, crash, fix, is the way it starts. Pretty soon youre to the point where you kinda miss fixxin a plane once in a while.
