What's the frequency Kenneth?

Just a thought Gray, for those of us with steam driven radio (ie: 35Mhz) shall we arrange to be on separate frequencies before we meet? Then we will not need a peg board or Tx control.

I realise that some folks will have several models on different frequencies, but we will be better informed if we know in advance.

Cheers

Andrew

PS Mine are 70 preferred, 64 & 78 available.

I'm hoping to be mostly 2.4Ghz by then... but otherwise I normally use 89.

Good idea Andrew! I was going to run a ‘tick board’ for frequency control but it would be handy to know who is on what before the event.

Ch 58 preferred for me but can change.

Cheers

Have a box full of pairs of crystals, virtually the whole range, so no problem.
Available to anyone who has a problem of course.

I am on 87.

I would however like to recommend that we still use some form of frequency control (for 35Mhz) on the day, for everyones safety and the safety of the models. I'm happy to use a peg board, hand my TX in, etc, it just makes sense.

I'm on 71 usually ... although I can change to 60 if need be ... I'm running a dual-conversion Futaba Rx so not all crystals will work in it ...

Cheers

I will change to a free freq when the range is know, only takes a mo.

Guess we will have a pre pegged peg board!! An RC first, virtual pegboard ;-)

Its the carbon footprint reducing way forward.

Hi people!
As some of you know, MNG'S Nikon 3700 World Tour is in the UK and Andrew has just finished his mission with excellent results. He was also so quick in doing so we have a 3 week "gap" to fill as we want the camera to be a part of the meet.

I was wondering if anyone taking part in the meet also wants to participate in the Nikon Tour? That way they could take pictures/video of their choice beforehand (weather etc. permitting) and bring the camera along to the SCRAPS venue for others to try.

Cheers,
matthew

Ch 67 for me, and also 2.4G

Are people going to be using 2.4G downlinks at all? Might be interesting with 2.4G radios around?

Adam, good point! One I haven’t thought about until reading your post. This will be well worth looking into as a video transmitting on 2.4g must take up a huge bandwidth making things harder for the 2.4g RC receivers to find a usable operating slot.
It will be interesting to find out if anyone has had experience with this.

I will also run a peg system on the day just to be safe and avoid confusion.

Duck, if no one else comes forward to take on the RTW camera I have an EZ* it could go into so could accommodate it for the meeting. Let me know.
