Confessions of a heli-addict. And how to spot one.

Hi,
This thread is just a bit of fun to make us all laugh at ourselves.
I know we all joke and say Heli-crack.
I have never tried Crack, nor do I want to.
Maybe it would all be fun the first time, but then a downward spiral that ruins lives.
So people how do you know you are a heli-addict,Or how can you spot a heli-addict in a crowd?

*I have hovered my 4G3 over a pizza to cool it down.
*Spun the rotors at low speed to circulate air in the house.
*Ok,I woke up in the middle of the night once and snuck in a short flight.
*I have lied so I can have a chance to fly my heli.
*I cry when I see my credit card statement.

Does anyone else have any heli-addict confessions they have done or seen to add.
Pictures/Videos or anything that makes us go is good.

Its the times that you look out the window and can determine which heli will be best suited to
The wind conditions. Or long for the rain to stop long enough to get a quick flight in.

Or the late night flights at 11pm.

Maybe its checking rcgroups on boxing day.

My daughters love the micro heli's so I have the perfect excuse to take the older one up to
The park so she can play and sneak a quick flight in. They also like the crashes and cheer when it
Happens

Cheers

You mean like... You ask the wife/gf if it's OK for you to have a quicky, they say yes, so you grab your heli. See how helis have changed our idea of a "quicky". that's an addict

You turn off the fans and air con inside on a summers day just and swelter while you fly just so you can get some "clean" air for your micro.

Guilty as charged......

-Holding your heli in your hand and making blade/engine noises simulating maneuvers over your bed!
-Looking out for fields to fly in on your way to work.
-Making sure your parcel arrives home when you are about so the missus don't see!
-Your biggest bookmark folder is called........ HELI'S!!!!!

I get around this by having multiple favourite folders for each model respectively titled.

I bought a HBFP, and I was having a lot of fun learning to fly it. When I crashed it, and I couldn't fly, I ordered replacement parts......and another entire heli, so I wouldn't be without my daily "fix" again.

Sad but so true...

I keep other tabs open in Firefox so that I can quickly switch over to another site rather than look like I'm always on RcGroups.

Back when I had more time I setup a second monitor for "Forum Spy" I don't do it any more as I never get any thing done.

Sometimes when I see a black olive on a pizza or salad I think of the ball in the swashplate.

I keep all sorts of broken stuff now because someday I might be able to use it for a mod. Probably the worst habbit.

and knowing as soon as you get rid of something as "junk", a need arises for that "stuff".

hehe,
This is awsome.
I have a friend that has a problem with RC helis.
One day he took his heli to work and then he called a mate in the middle of the day and they snuck off to a park for a flying session when they should have been working.
Hehe,
Also you know they have a problem when they talk about the person with the problem as being a friend.

- If buying a new house, you prefer outside city limits for that spacious backyard; or, you hate winter season and/or you wish your living room is a lot bigger than it is; or you wish you live in the tropical region

You think Hondas and Hyundais are awsome because of the free helipad with every one.
Refer to the pictures below and you will understand.
