Yes. I use THESE. I just got tired of replacing the gears in the HXT900's (even though a whole set of gears is <$1). It is worthy of note too that I agree with Mutha even with the few negatives about them. I have used over 100 of them in the last 2 years or so.

I am using MG90 servos for the ailerons . I stipped the original HXT900's and had the MG 90's in my heli spares box. I know from using them in my heli that they can survive a good crash.
When the elevator and rudder servos die I will use the same servos that AJ recomended (got 4 in my spares box)
I have them fitted to a Zagnutz wing I built and they work well.
When they are back in stock be quick to grab some as they sell out fast

I replaced the stock prop-saver attachment with a collet which of course moves the prop back a bit more than 1/2" and adds some weight behind the cg.

The collet is certainly quieter but I'm fighting a bit getting it re-trimmed. I had it where I was pretty happy with the balance and trim using an 1800 lipo.

Even though it seems logically I should have shifted the the cg back it's acting more nose heavy than anything, always pitching up after a dive. It also doesn't seem to climb as well.

Any suggestions?

Add some down trim.

Well it was freaking me out a bit that it didn't seem to climb as well under WOT, so down trim seemed like the wrong thing to do. But I burned three packs today and got used to it, also took a bit of weight off the tail.

I fly over a small valley next to 10 acres of woods so I get some funky wind shadows and turbulence sometimes which I think was confusing me a bit as well.

moving the propeller back half inch and adding a few grams collet adapter shouldnt affect noticibly the CG .... i added a heavier motor with collet adaptor and i barelly notice it (my batt its still in the same place and seems to ballance nice)

I did my first Loop today lol, on WOT the 2200kv turnigy motor like going to rip the wing off the plane when doing loop , will post the video later need some converting and editing

Flaps

Do you guys add flaps to help your launches? Would you want them on the ailerons or on the elevator?

OOOOKKKKKK. Flaps are inboard on the wings. Ailerons are outboard. There is no such thing as a flaps on the elevator. This plane has no flaps.

The plane will launch just fine if control surfaces are set level.

managed to get my wing tips back on with rods and fibre tape, back to gliding great , if your thinking about removing the tips dont, rolls better thats about it, you gotta be on the power all the time and wind blows it about more.

just trashes the axn, leave it stock

No, flaps are flaps and ailerons are ailerons. Flaperons is a crude way of increasing lift, but also promotes tipstalling. Spoilerons would be a safer way to decrease lift. Gliders use them all the time. Even laser hot landing EDF jets will program in some spoilerons (up ailerons) to decrease lift.
