Actually, I got the ARF kit. Everything except Tx/Rx and battery. I had a cheap FlySky CT6B Tx/Rx combo from Nitroplanes, which has worked well. And so far the servos are all right. I've done some pretty fast dives, rolls, and inverted maneuvers and nothing has stripped out yet. I've done maybe 20 flights so far, each one 30-45 minutes.

I did have one aileron servo fall completely out of the wing . That was the point I was glad to know how to use the rudder on the left side.

I remember now that mine came loose very early on and I was luckier. I just put a drop of hot glue and a piece of packing tape on it and it lasted for quite a while until it ultimately failed.

Inrunner

Here you can see the inrunner I use. A big outrunner hung on the stock mount might create balance issues, this inrunner keeps the weight more forward. I did have an ourunner mounted this way too, but the inrunner is my preference

That is the the best solution for balance Victapilot, you have me thinking.

I was thinking about a Mega 16/15/4T motor, that should really kick it up a notch but I don't know if the fuse can take a 4S. I have several Mega motors that are still running at full performance after about five years so I know they are reliable.

I'm just flying mine stock right now but I just might get another one to soup up.

These guys have great prices and excellent customer service.

Hey Top Spin , they are in Hong Kong as well but the price is much less for the AXN
i HAD TO harrass HK with a call and some e mails to git them moving on my order.
This am , rc'd two e mails from them , AXN was on the way . Wish I had know about the site you mention'd a bit earlier - would have given them a shot.

Say , what is the " Bixler " HK advertises above the thread ?? a spin off of this one

The difference I see from one to the other is :

Required:
Your own RX/TX
20A Brushless ESC
4 X 9g Servos
1600~2200mAh 3S Lipoly
USA house must stock the "kit version " only

I killed my CF this evening. Made an error estimating depth, flew into a tree with full trottle. Well... it didn't suffer and was killed instantly. A real shame (on me). I liked that plane.

Ordered myself a BMI arrow (same plane, little bigger than CF) right away. Hoping I will get it soon, so I'll be airborne soon.
Will let you know how it goes (if that's ok, considering I officially don't belong in this thread anymore)..

Tom I like lowpricerc too bought my sencond and 3rd axn's from them.

The Bixler is more like another plane I have the phoenix (pusher not front mount motor) it is slower and less slippery than the AXN. might be a good FPV platform as it has good space.

Tom, as near as I can figure out the Bixler is identical to the Banana Hobby Sky Surfer. I built a Sky Surfer for a friend last year and I can tell you the AXN Floater flys much better.

Big problem is the USA warehouse is usually out of servos, almost never has ESC's in stock, and by the time you get all of the suff you need from multiple sources (USA warehouse and HK Hong Kong) and pay shipping your money ahead just to order from LowPriceRC.

Just got a #11 key chain camera a week ago...

Wondering where you mounted it on the AXN..Right on top of the nose?..and by the way great video and even greater flying...
