Is this the support forum for caliberhobby?

I don't think it is but they link to it for order support... Kinda sucks.

Well maybe one of you guys can help me out. If you've ever ordered a GWS p-40 I'm trying to put together the foam body and its telling me I need to have 6 rectangle hinges or Hinge Plates in step 1.3

Either my package did not comes with all the parts or the instructions I have are wrong. In the rest of the manual all the parts that I have to break off of the brackets are labeled or numbered. That hinge plate is not so it makes me think that it should have came in some other packaging but I don't have 6 of anything.

I hope one of you can tell me I'm an idiot and show me what I'm missing because it takes for ever to get mail from these guys.

Thanks

I haven't seen any GWS hinges before. GWS normally usues the same plastic parts trees for everything. Worst case scenario, you will have to buy some hinges, but they aren't expensive.

Tower Hobbies has these, which look very similar. Plus, since they're already hinged, all you have to do is glue half into the flying surface, and half into the control surface.

The hinges should be a separate rectangular piece with perforations.
I believe it would look something like this:

If it is not in the kit I know many people use floppy disc material for hinges.

It would be easy to overlook the hinges - they are, as planekiller said, on a separate sheet in one of the bags. If you can't find the sheet, don't sweat it. You can use floppy disc material if you can still find it, thin plastic from those see-thru containers that cookies or pastries come in from the grocery store, or any flexible, light plastic. I've also used clear acetate (like the cover pouches for loose leaf) from Wal-Mart and tyvek. If you're in the US, apparently you can get tyvek envelopes from the post office for free. Maybe someone else can chime in here with more info...
Bottom line is that you can probably find better material around your house.

Good luck
