Got mine from u\h ,H\C, h\k and i know what you mean about this sort of high aspect model's flying characteristics, i got a CM Pro discuss a while back and elecrtofied it, it has flexy wings and tends to want to go fast what ever CG or trim settings you use.
CG , thanks for the info, tail heavy to me is never an option, specially for the maiden flight, 3D is not my thing, but i can see how tail heavy would be avantageous when setting up those planes. I plan to follow your advise and use the recommended setting plus do a few test glides into long grass before venturing skyward, and will have some stick on lead weights at the ready, it's what i do with most of my planes, as i've been caught out a couple of times following factory suggested CG's and ,correct, ended up doing the re-kit of a brand new model!! Which is always depressing .

I noticed in the tail boom of the ASW 28 a carbon spar which was not attached or glued to the foam, so i cut along the top seem of the boom and dropped a few drops of CA onto the spar when set it reduced the tails rotational movement a little ....
Careful that CA doesn't run back onto or into the end of the internal pushrods!! I used thick CA and tilted the fuse foward till the glue set.....

Plan to fly ASW 28 this weekend, will post result (s) ...

I remember having a look and feeling the comliance of the alerons and wondering how they managed to get it so good with no horns, it did not look like a swivel crank type but i could be wrong.

I took about 10 grams of lead out this morning and it's better. It was pretty windy about 20kph but it still went up fine and flying with an EHawk 1500 we were managing to find some pockets of lift, actually got a real good one that took me pretty high. Still managed an easy 20-25 minutes from one battery in less than ideal conditions.

No go this weekend !! Blowing a frigg'in gale in Melbun, will try one evening during the week ......
Q : ? I received a small metal cylinder with a threaded internal end and an O ring
in the box of accessories that came with the ASW 28 , got no idea what it's for, anybody else know ??? Maybe in the kit by mistake , can't see it mentioned in the destruction manual either ??

I don't remember seeing that in my box, maybe just a random part from something else.

I've been surprised how much wind this plane can handle -probably not the best conditions for your first flight though!

Yes, it's always tempting when you are trying out a new model to chuck it and see .... I'm pretty sure I would have regretted it tough ...
