OOPs, 60 g is w/o battery and landing gear. Battery is 18g and gear (which I probably won't use) is 2.5g So I'll be flying at 78g.

I plan to arrive around 10:30 and stay till they turn off the lights.

Didn't you guys want to buy me a parkflyer membership to AMA for my birthday? You guys all missed it on the 29th! Not a single one of you said happy birthday.. don't you feel guilty about that?

I am going to have to spring for that membership. Be nice to be able to actually fly at some of these fields and events! I just got a new TINY motor that i am going to put onto a small 3D plane... i think. Be cool to fly it indoors somewhere.

Dennis, Gosh, Sorry about your birthday, If I'd only known, would have sent you a sheet of blucor or block of 2" foam or something! 'Course being born that close to Christmas, bet you're used to minimal b-day gifts (youngest son was born on the 20th, came home on Christmas!)

Re the parkflyer membership, I popped for mine, and haven't been able to use it yet - perhaps next Tue. Card and materials all came in less than a week (between the holidays, yet!) Will you be able to make any of the Tue sessions in Pontiac at all?

Mike,
I was hoping to see you today. Ken brought some samples of foam sheets he is cutting on his Iron Phlat Printer, and I flew my less than 80g AUW BB24 lite.

Are we on for this Thursdays breakfast meeting of the retired SE MI flyers. So far a quiet group of two (Springer and I). This would be the third meeting and first of '09. Anyone who wants to join us a Callaways on 26 Mi near mound at 8:30 is welcome.

Indoor flying next week will be on Wed. Bummer I tutor Monday and Wed. so probably can't go. I might come late and not fly. Just watching is fun too. And it's my fav' price---FREE.

Lots of tiny motors flying at Ultimate Soccer today. My BB24 lite has a 8.6g C10 motor. Some of the guys are flying what I call micro stuff, around Vapor size.

Don: whats with the free deal for Pontiac? Really free, or just cause you paid for your card? I'm ok with Thu at 8:30 - or something like that 8^)

Mike,

I believe Don meant its free to spectate, which I did alot of that day due to leaving my TX on last time I used it. Got ready to fly and it was stone cold dead. Threw in the charger and did get few flights in though. I must say that I did enjoy spectating though. Also gave me more time to talk with people.

Yep, I meant the watching is free and fun! It was an invite for others to just come visit, and see all that is going on.

OK, it sounds like there will be two of us for breakfast tomorrow. Others are welcome to join us.

I'll be at Ultimate Soccer tomorrow, but I'll be arriving a little late so I may not fly. But I will bring a plane just in case the air space looks lonely.

Anybody else?

still trying to make it to Pontiac

so is the weekly indoor flying on Wed's now instead of Tue's?
I hope so because my work schedule has changed & I now have Wed's off. Although I have tomorrow off I will still be working all day.
But if I planned right I would be able to make next Wed possibly.

Jimmy

scratch that, next week I work Wed due to being off for Mon MLK holiday. But the following week....

I hate to tell ya, Jim, that the wed is this week only as far as I know. next week back to Tue, but it looks like they are doing a fly on MLK day from 11 to 1:30. Check the skymasters site out for more info: http://www.skymasters.org/

Probably be more there on Monday than this Wed.
