Well, gentlemen... that sure was fun tonight. Two mid-air collisions and I was involved in both. Sorry Mike and sorry Keith. Hope the damage wasn't bad. A little gorilla and I'll be back next week. For your viewing pleasure, I present: "Aww... the prop came off" - a test flight from earlier in the week. The plane does some neat tricks after losing the prop and I'm still trying to figure out exactly why. I did have a prop saver band that wasn't strong enough (thanks hobbyking), but I am thinking something broke loose before that... please have a look.

Hmm, king of combat with only 3 cuts? maybe so.
Shane: I wonder if your cg is slightly aft and the loss of prop weight on nose made it go nose up? could be a combination of motor thrust holding nose down til it disappeared as well. |

Shane,
That really was an interesting incident. Not sure except for the sudden loss of additional weight up front resulting in aft CG. Just adding a spinner or large adapter makes quite a difference. Ken

Welcome as well! If ya still like sailplanes, bring them out, there are several of us that fly them regularly at Oak Grove. But among us, we pretty much fly every type of foamie.
