DAW Kawafoamie with some Boomerang wing bed scraps 3M77'd on to the sides of the fuse for a little more rounded look. And a Mega 16/15/3 w/mini demon gb @ 3.5:1 and a 12x8 prop & 8 cell Sanyo 1700AUP pack. A piece of the supplied EPP scrap glued on the nose for the P-40 look. Wrapped it all up with strapping tape and packing tape, then spritzed a little krylon spray for effect.
The first pic was just to give me an xray shot for anticipated surgery. It ain't pretty up close, but it looks cool in the air. The graphics are just dl'd from the net and printed on plain paper and attached with clear packing tape. I will make a better camo job, I just got tired of looking at an all white plane while testing. The back of the batt pack is about 1/2" ahead of the canopy and balances out perfectly. The speed control and receiver are just barely embedded on the left side of the fuse, so the center of the fuse is wide open for batt pack installation and adjustment. Also put a cf rod in for support.
Looks marginal, fly's great, bounces very well, and after a dirt nap it gets up and goes for more!
Since the pic, it has a folder now.

Another true one - there was a kid back home with a purple '51 Ford named 'Statutory Grape'.

Grape, great job. I successfully converted a mini A-36 on a sp 400. Have a Foamie109 just collecting dust on the wall and been thinking of epower for it. What other stats do you have on the P-40. AUW...under 40?

It weighs about 45 oz, glides power off very nicely. Just a little on the slow side, 10 cells and a higher pitch would be nice. I may pull the motor and make it a sloper, then I can re-build something else on the wall or in the closet! I never thought I would come to enjoy the building end so much. It was sure fun making it.
