UL-1 Superior Unlimited Light Hydro by Aquacraft

Yeeeeeehaaaaa....it's on the way!

I've been checking on this every day and Tower has it in stock as of this morning....finally! They have it in Orange, Red & White only....Yellow is still on back order...due in late December.

I called Tower and mine (white) is shipping today...hopefully by this Saturday it will be here, and I will report on it ASAP.

I'm enlarging the course for the fast boats. That turn 3 corner is too hairy....if you take it too wide or lose it coming around the corner, you can become a member of the "Wall Banger Club". I will add a buoy to make it a diamond shape VS the triangle we have now. A rectangle is not realistic in this pond. Below is a map of the pond. The red ring is where we set up. The yellow dots are the sail boat buoys and the red dot the added buoy. The near side is all stone wall...the far side is reeds. You do not want to get in those....you will have to go wading with the critters.

As for the speed addiction...someone told me it would get to me when I bought that first little ole bass boat..I thought naw...this will be enough speed for me....yea...right...I should of known!

it starts out innocently enough...1st the sheetboats, then you need a tug/rescue boat, then for those times when there is not enough wind(or for the kids)...a quick boat(I knew you were getting hooked when you started modding the bassboat ), then just for fun a simple race boat(bout that time he started 'hooking' others). doubt it will be too long before you start building a 60+ mph boat and complaining that the pond is to small

NOT ME!

This has to be it for a while...although the thought of a go straight...go fast "Drag Boat" is appealing!

we'll see how it goes once the 'new' wears off(I figure about 6 months)...
on a more serious note...I offer this driving tip; as in real estate the key is 'location location location' it is easier to tell where your boat(and others)is/are if you can increase the distance(elevation) between the driver and the water. this is why a number of courses have an elevated drivers platform.
that could be a problem 'mama' is known to read the forum

Crash,

Will you be at the Pond on Saturday from noon until 3? I'm getting back into RC boating after 30 years and it's nice to see the Montgomery area is starting to gain more interest.....
