Thanks Noah. I am really suprised you didn't get to see my dumb thumb prop auger manuver. Its seems to be one of my better moves, but some how it escaped me on this flight.

By the way Dan thanks for the video! The angle in my opinon married up very well with the noggin cam view.

Mark, I really enjoyed the noggin cam video. The picture-in-a-picture really tuned out great...nice editing!

The prop auger is one of my best moves to; I usually use it to follow up an inverted manouver.

Fluffy Yak Build

Just want to thank Dan (Leadfeather), Mike (Motorhead), and the rest of the gang in Wichita. Got the package (I love the packing material also) today and started to assemble. Handling the down sized version really makes this thing seem large. I am going to do some advertising with it this weekend at a swap meet if Mike is still taking orders? I will try to make up a flyer with the where and how to get one. I would not part with this ever. It is more than a model to me, it is your appreciation.

Thanks again, you guys really went the second or third or fourth mile,

Ken

Ken you are welcome. We appreciate the help that you have provided. I have more foam coming but am currently out of the 1 lb foam. Anyone interested can contact me at jbailey19@cox.net
We flew again on Tues and had fun. I am still impressed with how good this plane makes me look. I flew much worse before.

You know, Dan... I bet you could mass-produce these little guys! They fly so well and there's so few alternatives on the market...

Just a thought.

I finally got my Edge and PbF ready to fly tomorrow. It's really weird that the AUW for both the Edge and the PbF came out to 204 grams with a 3S 460 mah lipo. I'm powering both with a Motrolfly DM2205 1350kv motor. They will both have plenty of power from running up the motors. Can't wait to maiden them both tomorrow.

My small fleet ready for some indoor flying tomorrow.
Hey Mox, did you guys ever get plans for your edge made up yet?

Hey Eric,

I think the Yak has great kit potential, I just don't have the time or the inclination to do it myself.

we will have to do a order for a min of lets say 25

after all is said and done what should we sell them for $

I'm still a bit new to the whole foam/indoor thing, but this is what I would want...

The *standard* motor, esc, servos, etc. all included.

ALl the carbon.

A bottle of glue for hinges.

Etc. Basically a complete ARF package including the electronics. Add a receiver/battery and go!

I think a $100-$120 unpainted or a $120-$140 painted kit would be reasonable.

Replacement airframes could be available for ... Say $40? You can build them cheaper obviously but if it's going to be produced, someone has to make a little bit on them.

I am by no means a businessman, but if I were to buy one pre-cut, that's what I would expect to see in terms of pricing and how I would personally want it packaged. I'd like to see other ideas.

Dan, if we've hijacked your thread with this, please stop us.

I just started my build last night. Painted and assembled, no electrics yet. It's a standard all 1.3 9mm.

I would be very interested in a .9# fluffy that was CNC cut. I think Carbon should be included. Paint should be an option, I prefer to do my own. The only other thing that I think you should consider is hardware. Maybe control horns and the little balsa squares for mounting them. You do great videos, so a good online build vid would help I think. Include your tricks and tips for hinges and motor mounts and such. Great stuff. Price, I assume you would need to charge around $45 or so to make it worth your while. I would do one that is CNC and .9# foam.

Or if you want to just buy the foam kit + carbon for wing as a do it yourself kit hand cut plane alone would be about $39.00 per kit + 10.00 flat shipping anywhere in the USA

Very nice flying Mark! You are getting very good very quickly.

Jerry
PS: I still do a few nose first maneuvers once in a while myself, last one was Friday night while inverted.
