Mini-Review
Hobbyzone Mini Super Cub RTF

I thought I would share some pics with everyone of the new Mini Cub.
I bought it on Ebay for $119 but received $36 back because I used the Live Cashback.
Not a bad deal for $83 to my door.

Here is the box contents. I had to use goo-gone to get the scotch tape off of the wing where they had it taped into the box.

.
The only thing needed to assemble is the landing gear and tail wheel.

.
Landing gear is just a simple push into slot, done. Oh a extra prop too.

.
Tail wheel same thing.

.
The servos/receiver/esc brick.

.
This is a first for me. Never seen the foam laminated like this. Some way to fill that or tape over it?

.
A few more.

Now it it wasn't dark out.

I bought it Sunday from NRV Hobby in VA http://stores.ebay.com/NRV-Hobby

I tried 3 other sellers in NC but they either took to long to reply or wouldn't ship Monday without a complant.
He did a excellent job.

Here is a pic of the radio. And the stupid spring centered throttle. I gotta do something about this.

Sweet.

Well theres not anything can be done for the throttle rachet.
Not only does it not ratchet, but its goes back to center and you have right and left as well.
Guess it could be used as a 4 channel.

Its the 6th picture down. Unless you need a better one.

I charged it up. Turned everything on. Noticed the servos were twitching and when I turned the ACT off they stopped.
Motor gear really whines. Course cut gears is some of the problem I guess.

I see an all in one receiver/ESC/servo unit, with that useless ACT. My advice: Don't ever use ACT. I'd actually just cut it out of the plane, to save weight.

Also, looks like an easy upgrade to 4 channel. Some 5 gram servos, a Micro05S receiver, a small 8 amp ESC, and some time to instll it all Also looks like a nice indoor flyer, for those windy days. And you probably could wire up the radio for use as a game remote

I totally agree about the ACT. However its all tied into the receiver/esc/servos.

I am thinking the same thing about the brick. I have a Berg receiver and a 15 Thunderbird ESC I may buy some servos that way I can use a good radio.

Its supposed to get up to 50 degrees today, so hopefully I can maiden.

I taxied around some yesterday after the sun set. Still to windy though.
Now this morning its dead calm but 28 degrees.

Well I found out how easy it is to plug in the lipo in backwards so I have a damaged brick. I know, "stupid".

So thats why I have a Cub for sale.
