The great Aussie BBQ and Beers thread
New location, hopefully the same old faces (and some new ones). Welcome guys, pull up a chair, snags are on, beers in the tub.
For the old faces - hopefully this thread will run smoother with less hassles then at RCU. For the new faces, Hiya, for the last 3 1/2 yrs a group of Aussies have been chatting at RCU, mainly about RC planes, sometimes not, sometimes just 'p#ssing in the wind'. We've helped each other out with recommendations, shared a heap of info (any modification or derivative of the Multiplex Easystar has been well and truly thrashed out) and lent support where needed. The king is dead, long live the king! |

As we may be getting a few more people looking in I'll start....
I'm a long time 'lurker' at RCG, never really saw the need to join until recently. I have just finished scratch building a 51" Tiger Moth and happy to finally see it done and flying. I dabble a bit in 3D but am still very much in the learning phase. In my Hangar; 3DHS Extra 300 SHP 440watt setup 3DHS Extra SR 744 watt setup on 4S PA Addiction as per their recommended set up Aforementioned scratch built Tiger Moth running a E Flite 480 park flyer on 3S GP Electrify DR1 awaiting completion Multiplex EasyStar - running a brushless stryker setup GWS Tiger Moth 400 Sapac BAE Hawk - courtesy of ExtremeRC That's enough to keep me in trouble with the missus.. Hi PPL
So has RCU just banned beer and turned vegan? Haven't really looked through that forum, are there as many Aussies as RCG? I've been lurking in this forum for a couple of years, it's a top spot. |

I think one of the mods has just eaten too many lemons! ... or crashed too many of his toothpick replicas of the spruce goose.

Yep! The straw that broke the Camel's back was that one of the members decided to share a pic of his new boat, and it got deleted. That did it for us!! If we can't just chew the fat sometimes, then what is the point! Cheers -J |

Hi Inflex, ive been looking for you and your electric knowledge!
I need a switch so i can turn the light system off and on ion my ST Models Cessna 182. It has all the lights hooked up but ive never used them .... i would like to activate them by maybe the gear channel; on my DX6i. I take it this is the one i need http://nqrc.com/?vp=PLD-RCS-1A Oh yeah, my names Bud formerly known as Budmulla, you may remember me from hit TV shows such as .... Stig of the Dump and Cotton Ball Belts of Death ( a little known ESPN show syndicated to 38 of the poorest countries in the world and rejected by 37 of them. Thanks Somalia for your support). I am a newbie flier and i love nothing better than a good old fashioned crash!! Last edited by bUd~FokkerU2; Dec 02, 2008 at 06:31 AM. |

I agree, that's pretty stupid. Sounds like RCU could be becoming their own worst enemy (though they've done some insanely bad things in the past as well).
The adverts around here are getting a bit out of hand - though nothing Firefox's "AdBlock Pro" can't sort out for you (makes the pages load a LOT faster )Paul. |
