There are a few milligrams of extra wire that could be removed, but that is about all I can see that can be removed. Maybe a different design on the motor or a different battery.
Looks great!. This does bring up the question of what is the lightest RC controlled plane? |

Lad,
Incredibly nice airframe. It's a very elegant combination of functionality and minimalist structure. And your motor, prop, and other hardware are very nice and light too. Excellent. I think you may have the lightest plane, possibly by a fair number of milligrams. Gordon |

Congratulations, Lad! That is outstanding! And such an interesting design.
How about some details on flight times? And is that a re-built battery? Great work, --Martin |

My god Lad!
your component weights are inconceivable! please, more details (on everything)! and a video! amazing work... i can't believe it. how did you pull of a 13mg rx??? i'm assuming you are using a magnet from a quartz wrist watch in your motor? and how in the world did you cut down a li-po? and is it stable (no capacity reduction over time)? and what about flight times? and you can make it lighter? ...my god... slow down. seriously, amazing work... absolutely incredible. |

Because at this size it is literally impossible to make!!!
Only the elite few can make this at home with an arsenal of tools... I'm not quite sure whether you understand the complexity of something of this size and weight. To give you an understanding, it is the weight of 1/10th of a Kleenex Tissue Go on and weigh a tissue, i bet it weighs 2g.

Thank you all for the congratulations.
I cut 8.5 mAh li-poly rebuilt up to 273 mg in halves in argon and sealed it with alu foil. The battery was cut 6 days ago - no capacity reduction over time so far. In the picture you'll see the argon box. Motor 2 Magnets D 1mm L 0.5mm, rebuilt 2 Coils: wires D 0.02 , windings 220 , 72 ohms Gear-box 1 : 6.7 static thrust with prop d 25 x 15 0.14 gr current 24 mA |
