GWS P-51 maiden

I'll hopefully be flying this weekend, depending on the weather
Does anyone have any tips or suggestions they can share?

make sure you airplane is balanced. CG should be between 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch in front of the bamboo spar. Keep the control throws (especially the elevator) at about 6mm for the first few flights, until you get used to it. It is a tricky airplane at first but once you get used to it you will be fine.

Do not turn until you are abut 20ft high and keep the power up in the turns.

Hope that helps.

Keep your speed up on landings. Its not a floater like a trainer. Low power it sinks pretty fast. During your turns be sure to use up elevator through out the turn or you will lose altitude. Do figure 8's and 360 turns to get use to it. After that try some mild aerobatics. It doesn't loop to well. Other than that its a fun flying airplane.
