Of course the Afterburnerz were a big hit as usual, even in broad daylight! Again, well done Joe.
Congrats on the flight! I can't wait to see the ground based video.

Thanks Joe...As soon as we can figure out how to get the raw video to me I will edit it and post...Here's some of his comments and a few pics he took of the flight...

"...The video turned out realy great, except for the high speed passes, was hard to keep it in view during the flyby's, Man, it realy looks great in the air, looks real if you didn't know any better. And I was able to get a couple of really good snap shots as well. And there was a couple of times where the LED's really showed in the video as well. Would be nice to get a slow flyby, and then take a snap shot just as you power up to get a picture of the lights in action. We could try and schedule a flying time for us to get together if you would like to try and get some shots like that."

Thanks! I'm looking for a better camera angle so it shows more of the bird. Someone in this thread had a really cool video and angle...I'll have to go dig around for it. I want to figure out a mechanism that would allow me to film from an elevated position between the stabs looking down towards the front...That would be slick!

With all this talk of the SR-71, I gotta get off my butt and finish mine. I have two versions in the works, a Lanxaing and a maxjet. One will be more for show, the other for speed. After all, I have to fly a flagship demo model for the afterburnerz.

Having flown both use the Maxjet for details and the LX for speed.

FREAKIN' AWESOME! It really turned out GREAT! You did an outstanding job Aros! Glad I was there today to help you film it! You need someone to help record any more of your flights, you know how to get a hold of me.

Ok, I'm off to watch the video AGAIN! I can't get enough!
