Kelley,

Im still chuckling about the one question. What size allen screws hold the flybar. When i went to tighten mine...i realized i had nothing to do it in my collection of drivers. I searched at the local stores and couldnt find anything that small. I then realized my kit was missing one of the drivers...and that was the one...lol
I found it in a second driver case. Its an 0.9 hex

I'm new to cp helis. So if I get the FF100 kit+motor+esc what else do I need to fly this (besides tx)?

Hehe, thats one problem that can be overcome.
You need small tools for these helis.

For others the little hex comes with the kit and also in the see saw parts pack. I got this set from dealextreme.com. here (check the site out if you have a spare hour or 2!!)

Now....Anybody know where to buy smaller thumbs and fingers?

Rx
Servos x 4 (20.5mm long or less x 8.3mm wide or less x height is not so specific)
For that motor: 3s 650-900mah lipo (not more than 31mm wide) 15C or higher. Approx 42-48g with wires.
Little gyro head hold sub 10g is good.
Battery connecter for the esc. Jst or micro Deans
6x bullet connecters for the motor to the esc (2mm or 3 mm)
2.3mm id 0.4 mod pinion (12T I think for 3s)

I particularly liked the piros at 1:05. Definately had gyro issues there...and motor issues...and blades not turning issues! hehe

Seriously though...nice work especially about the tail blades.

Thanks,

Now I'll go and find a 0.9 hex.

Any thoughts on a tail servo?

They are the only servo's that bolt right into the frame. It tells you to get the 4800kv BL system,...it is only 65.00 bucks,..however, the 3800kv is half that price with a 10amp.
The Pino servos have / had a really bad reputation - hopefully they have improved. When I bought my first Gaui EP100 2 were DOA and another died shortly afterwards

One of the three I still own

3x HXT500 servos
1x RCmart mg tail servo
12A Hobbywing ESC
4200kv 15t
ELE Fiber Frame
Berg 7 Rx
2S 850mah Sonic
Esky HH

Caution on tail servo mounts; they come loose in flight (happened twice), I put some hot glue after I am satisified with the setting.

The Hxt500's fit? W\Good spec and price on those sevvos but I didn't think they'd fit in the fg frame without having to widen holes.

I used a set screw in one of the tail servo mounts to stop that problem. I also found the wire tail servo control link was too flimsy and would vibrate under high headspeed causing a few issues as you can imagine.

Cut the threaded ends of and ca'd them in a piece of cf rod. Did this on the 200 as well. Worked sweet.

Dizzy: That manual is for the Gaui "pro". I've been looking for the plastic frame version but can't locate it. Anyway....very similar for those interested.
