Thank you for the review great timing for me

Oh wait I'm only 15 miles from XMseler I'll have my talk with THEM

Thanks again Gino

Gary, I ordered a dragonus too. What electronics are you putting in? just curious. I intend to go cheap as well.

Gino - why are setting your headspeed at 4000rpm?, is this just to test the gyro?
to administer a "gino special" hair cut

Hi

I will start with 3HS-55 on cyclic. I did the same with the Mini ( sport flying worked ok for me) then upgraded to ds-285. I will buy an align ESC and use either a 9650 or hs 81 on the tail with this gyro and a 6100 rec I have everything but the speed control. I'll use the 9650 if the servo mounts from the mini will work on the Drag boom. And of course the stock motor that will come with it. Going to use the alin esc because I can buy it local

You may consider the new Fusonic digital servos. I have them on my Black Angel and am very impressed with the heli's handling. I have MG-D-04 on cyclic, and HB-D-02 on the tail. The HB-D-02 works well with the XMHobbies G401B.

Specs here:

thanks for the link Gino, I might use those servos. I was looking at hs65 hg originally. This setup might end up better than my trex se with the digital cyclic servos. I guess I'll find out. I'm intrigued by others claiming that dragonus flys better than a trex.

The Fusonics are doing very well and better than my Hitecs (HS65 and HS56). Plus these servos are small. You will have to use the plastic spacers (included) to mount the cyclic servos. For the HB-D-02, use the middle holes. The outer holes don't align with the boom clamp. I found this out the hard way and broke the mounts

are you using a separate bec for these digital servos? or is it necessary? what esc are you using. I will use the align 35x, you think it could handle the load?

I am using a year old 1st gen CopterX 30amp esc on my Black Angel. No external bec. My motor is a 430L. It powers my electronics just fine. My SE uses the same kind of esc. No external bec either. That one has an AKE 3800kv motor and Hitec 65 and 45 servos.

I cannot vouch for the Align esc. But a very good 3D pilot once told me that the Align 35a esc should be able to handle 4 digital servos.

I got the gyros today! wow that was fast, i ordered them saturday and i ordered some parts from RC-Tek as well i got that stuff also. Ive been wrenching like a madman because tomorrow its suposed to get up in the 50s but i think it may be windy. I hope i can test one of these gyros!

I also ordered some of the black cnc 450 parts from the same site. Man the cnc parts were super cheap and look great. The cheap cnc heads i got are the V2 flavor that uses the 4mm shafts and have the solid green trueblood type orings. I havnt seen many black cnc heads around.

So how do we think this Gyro will fare in the cold weather. I live in northern Minnesota, and it gets pretty cold up here. My little telebee hates the cold and starts acting funky below 20 ish degrees.

I bought 4 head blocks and 4 seesaw sections, then i bought 2 red and 2 grey V1 blocks from RC-Tek and i wanted more seesaw sections but they sent me the seesaw mixing levers.

I think i bought 4 or 5 from RC-Tek before so wich ever heli has a plastic head and seesaw will get a metal one.

Now with these 2 parts being metal what will break now? feathering shafts and grips i guess?

Why dont they make them out of titanium so we can crash and carsh them and never break anything? lol

Hey Gino, what are your pots set at on yours? and wich hole do you use on your servo? i was going to start there and then dial it in from there.
