No appoligies necessary, its all about the fun and you have a lot more to worry about with having to face that advisary, that is one tough looking squirrel!

Well after getting my butt kicked over at the cock&plucker by the big mighty Poo I thought I better grab a roll of sharman and get out when the getting was good. Anyway as you can see I did get to the Laser and as always I over did it took it completely apart and even lost some parts under the bench this is why I got 4 of them so I could see what makes it tick..I don't believe this laser is going to give me what I am looking for.

SD Chip sound card
OH YEAH!!! Blitz I will be going there.. That was Boss man... Bet you haven't heard that one in awhile?? Just love them sounds of reloading the main gun and the German Marching song a must for any panzer division. That gun sounded cool but I kind of have my own idea of that sound. Anyway I had been looking at that sound unit with the SD card All of my home security works on a SD Chip and I have a lot of experience with the SD cards
I can just here it now...... Entering the battlefield with a Patton echo... and him saying ( You got to hold them by the nose and kick them in the a s s Kick them so hared there gust start to bleed.) Then some more Patton echo....
I don't know what you have for the sound of the gun for your Tank but I have had the pleasure of standing next to a real Tank when it was being fired
it was a defining experience.. If you have ever seen Clint Eastwood's Movie The Good The Bad And The Ugly and herd one of the pistol shots in that movie it would be close..
I was wondering how the tank battle thing is conducted.. My concern would be that Its not a free for all out there is it?? I would not want to brake down in the field and have some one push my tank into a puddle of water or something like that.. And ruin the electronics..So is there rules of engagement??ThinkTank Blaster 2

Assembly and connection
Faulty wiring may cause permanent damage to the electronics! If anything is unclear, please look
at our FAQ or write an email to us!
Connect connector 1, all other ThinkTank modules and the BEC-supply, when existent, with
the EMNet cable A
Connect volume control B with connector 2
Connect the speaker with cable C to one of the two connectors 3. If you ordered the blaster
with a speaker, it will already be delivered with the cable. You can use up to two speakers with
the Blaster 2 resulting in higher loudness. In this case consider the polarity of the
loudspeakers! If the sound appears 'thinner', swap the cables of one of them.
Leave all jumpers closed to activate the standard set of samples for the tiger tank or choose
another one by setting the jumpers accordingly to your choice. A list with all available sample
sets is included.
When you install the circuit board in the tank, make sure that no short circuits can occur (a
second mounting hole is placed below the CPU PCB).
It is essential for proper function of the module that the tank itself and all other modules are
Make sure all cables have been installed as described above.
Make sure that all jumpers are put in the right position and that the SD card is well fixed.
Put in a full charged battery and switch on the tank.
The power LED starts blinking for a short time as soon as the connection with the other
modules is established.

Laser target designator.
I have had my JGSD Type 90 tank (HL) for about 3 years or so and Have had a lot of fun with it. It originally had the radio system that you could program a sequence of commands and then the tank would execute the program. I removed that radio because even though it was very cool it had short radio range. I installed that radio in a Abrams made by motor works (wall mart) and used a modified version of the Abrams tank radio in my type 90. I included a relay control for a laser. With that system I can hit a target every time now and it would be good for a tank battle. I'm posting a video here but its very poor quality and not done well but gives a decent demo of the Laser range designator...
Not apparant in the video but the Laser sight can be turned on\off via remote control.

Very cool modfly that will come in handy for new era battles! If you have pictures of your modifications please post I am sure that there are others that would be interested in it!
|Dec 15, 2008, 01:45 AM|
the mods were quite intense as I actually changed out the circuit board and added one from a totally different Tank. I also modded the main gun so that it is bi-directional up\down or full duplex and slowed the turret movement speed down. The stock controller was too hard to modify with those push button controls. I will post more pics of this and its controller and what not..Was not going to bother if there was no interest.
I actually got this Tank Forum going last year. Some other guys started it but I got it going and I'm pleased to see all the interest in tanks here. I have been into them for 30+ years
I have tank models and experimental r/c tanks that are 30+ years old. Nice to see others finally taking an interest in them.
I also am into r\c planes but that is a recent interest compared to the Tanks but I got to tell ya..Its become a big part of my Hobby interest at this point but being this is winter in OHIO, I will have some time to spend here with some of my tank creations.
I spent about 5 minutes on that laser video..I have a better video camera now with sound and looks like this video is due for an update
