I plan to cut some wing slots in those nice wings as soon as I get another project done to make this plane more scale and with a little more "wow factor".

Just curious Jim, how did you get that Saito 300 twin to fit inside the cowl? I was actually looking at putting one on mine at one point when I had an opportunity to get one for practically nothing....but when I was checking it out, It looked like there was no way for it to work without cutting holes in the sides of the cowl for the heads to penetrate.

Hi Rocka,
ha-ha, Yep, the Satio 300 twin WILL fit Sir.
It is tight...But I had to file off those nice gold valve cover fins on the top only because of the Stinson cowl curve at the top.
Wonderful motor in the Sinson. Nice sound and no cooling problems at all this hot summer. I have the plugs hooked up to heat at forth throttle and below for a low idle on the ground.
Really nice airplne HL has ...but for the price I wish they would have put the scale wing slots in to finish it off.
Jim

Ha, They sure don't have that part figgured out when they made this plane do they?

I used my old stand-by...... GE clear silicone to hold this part in place.
It flexes and still holding good today.
Use a bunch and let it dry overnight.

Thanks for the answer. Did you attach it to both the gear and the fuse?

I had to go down to my shop and look.
It is attached to the landing gear only.
I remember pushing it up to match to the fuse and holding with claps overnight.
That wing strut is also in there but it all works.

Thanks. Looks like that's the way I'll go.
