Check out my little prop jet (14lb Falcon 120)

Here`s a pic of my Falcon 120 wing and links to the "build thread" and a video from last weekend.

I see that you went with Elevons instead of the standard set-up. Did you set-up the flaps and rudder? If so, how well did they work with that set-up?

The rudders are functional. As far as the elevons I`ve tried it both ways. First I had it set up so that I could use flaps down and ailerons up a little for landing, but before I could get it dialed in I had to land with standard elevons 3 times. It turned out that it slowed down fine without flaps, even at 14lbs, so now I have all four surfaces moving together just as standard elevons.

The guys that fly the Falcon 120 at near 20lbs AUW on turbines probably need the flaps, but at 14lbs they aren`t needed.

The plane flys just like a Stryker, just bigger and faster.

Im not impressed lee. You finally through a prop on and you're only at 2 KW!?!?

Do it again, but find a motor that'll take your 10" prop up to 4 kW or more and then get back to us!!! Now THAT would be awesome!

LOL LOL....Brian, first I have to find a 10 inch prop that can handle 30k, then I can do 5kw

I wanted to fly it Sunday and any more power would have probably shed blades in a dive.

I`m working on it, you can count on that .

I`ve got that 1521-1.5y that`s good to 5kw.
