X-Era preorder list

www.xeramotors.com

Hey guys. We're ready to start winding motors. Just tell me what motor you would like to purchase so I can get an idea of what is in demand. If you are on this list you will be assured a motor before anyone else. But if you decide not to buy, it's not a problem.

I can do 4turns in the other sizes, just haven't determined if there is a market for such low Kv motors. The 4035/4y is very efficient on 12s at 1500w which is good for those guys flying camera ships. However it will bog a lot at high powers, so it would not make a good 3D motor. Other than that, just go by the numbers you see below.

Motor--------Kv------Rm---Io(10v)-Io(30v)-Weight---Price
4020/2y----1000----0.008----1.9----NA-----346----$170.00

4025/2y-----830----0.011----1.5----3.3-----385----$180.00
4025/2.5y---667----0.017----1.1----2.2
4025/3y-----560----0.019----0.9----1.6

4030/2y-----706----0.012----1.4----2.7-----440----$190.00
4030/2.5y---564----0.018----1.1----2.0
4030/3y-----468----0.023----0.8----1.4

4035/2y-----602----0.013----1.3----2.3-----485----$200.00
4035/2.5y---480----0.020----1.0----1.7
4035/3y-----401----0.023----0.8----1.2
4035/4y-----300----0.043----0.5----0.8
4035/5y-----240----0.070----0.3----0.5

What would you recommend for a Rapter e620 blown up to a e710 running 710mm V-blades at 1900 rpm? It has 111 main gear and and I have pinions from 9 to 14 teeth. I'm running 10s2p a123s and has a weight of right under 10lbs. The Orbit 30-12 I'm running right now is bogging on stationary flips, read loosing head speed but I still get about 7 mins sport flight time at 1900 rpms. It's time to upgrade. I had kinda decided on a Scorpion 4035-630 but would entertain the thought of a newer motor fresh on the market.

I would use the 4030/2y with the 10t assuming 30V under load. The A123's have huge voltage drops, so I wouldn't really blame your motor just yet. Last thing I want is for you to install my motor, and not notice a difference. You're also gonna pull huge amps with this motor at such low voltage, so make sure you have a hefty ESC.

Yea voltage does drop but then it stays pretty constant. I would guess it drops to around 28 volt but then stays there pretty much or so till the end of the flight.

I run a CC85HV.

10S A123 is not enough to run on a 600 let alone a 700mm machine. I would go no less than 14S or preferably 16-17S with a Power Jazz ESC. I run my logo 600 with a scorpion 4035-630 with 14S a123 and it is very powerful. I am thinking about going 14S2P or 16S2P and running 690 blades, It should do quite well and still weigh in the low 10 Lbs.

Hi all,
I've been running a 4030 3Y prototype now for a couple of weeks. It's running in a 700 size heli, on 12s, geared 10.9:1. I have about an hour running time. It runs like a watch, with delta T on the windings is around 40F, and power is at least as good as an Actro 32-3. No problems of any kind, I like it a lot.

What do you think for a 12s (a123) ship spinning 800's? The actro 32-4 gets fairly warm (while on 12s lipo, it's cool).

Rhett I think the 4035/3y would be perfect. Should be a direct replacement with less than half the Rm. You can even go with the 4y but I'm not sure you can gear for that. The motor would be clocking over around 10,000rpm. Would be really quiet.

Very good pilot! It flies quite well for 10S2P. However that thing doesn't have half the climb-out /power that my 600 has.
