Hi Ghost,

The lights aren't in yet.
I've just layd the lights down there to show how it is going to look like.
The lights are coming right underneath the decks.

Hello guys,

I've been to Dortmund (Germany) today.
I've bought a four-channel Modelcraft transmitterset, a RC helicopter with the right size to land on the helideck, an extra servo (wich turned out to be unnessessary (How do you spell that? this isn't right)) and the speed controller to control the main engines.

The helicopter will be used for demonstrations.

Greetings Josse

the real skill will be flying it over water and landing it on the ship whilst the ship is under way.

Hi Ghost,

That sure is going to be most difficult.
At this moment i can't even keep it flying straight, and also can't land in the chosen square meter.
Fortunatly the helideck will come at the end of the project, so i got about 2 to 3 years to get it under control.

Hello guys,

Today i've been trying to set-up the ESC correctly, but i didn't manage to do so.
Does anyone know how i can get it right?
The ESC is an Ansmann-Racing V/R 12V.

Hello guys,

Today i've tested an old ESC on the eninge's of the Well Enhancer, and it worked
The eninge's can now be controlled properly.

I've been drilling holes for the asipods, so that they can be put in place as soon as there is a foundation to put them on.
The asipods won't be placed parellel to the keel, because there is to little space between the frames, and i already had to remove one because the asipods are coming right through it.

I've also linked 2 servocables so that each asipod will be steered by it's own servo, but the servo's always do the same thing, they can't steer independatly.

Most of the work i've done today is grinding and filling the hull prior to painting it.

Pics will come later on.

Greetings Josse

Hello guys,

Here are some pics.

The inside of the hull and the deck has received some Polyester-like stuff.

One of the frames has been made watertight to create a watertight bulkhead, just for safety.

The foundations for the asipods are under construction.

The Moonpool has also received some polyester-like stuff.

The frontpeakbulkhead is also made watertight to stop the water from getting inside via any way.

Never cross the bow of a senior officer.
The hull is almost smooth enough for painting, but its dark here, so the last bit of filling and grinding will be done next weekend.

Last but not least an overall view.

Because i can't paint the hull yet i will start with the walls and decks of the superstructure this week.

Hello guys,

Today i've made a start with the superstructure.
Here are some pics of the progress.

First decks 6 & 7 were cut out.

Then the rearwall on deck 6 was cut out and placed.

The front walls were cut out and placed.

This is the first wall ever filled by me

When both decks are placed ontop each other you get this.

And this was the last picture.

Hello guys,

To make the hull as realistic as is possible i want to have same (or a lot of) knocks in the hull like the real one has.
One of the solutions to get that is to make the hull perfectly smooth and then draw lines on the places were the real one has its frames, and start with primering on those lines (and a bit besides it), let the primer dry, paint a bit wider for the next layer, and get on going this untill everything has a layer of primer over it, then grind the hull (with the knocks of the shrinking of the plates) with very fine grindpaper, and then paint the hull in the right colours.
What do you think about this?

Hello guys,

The superstructure is starting to get shape.
The first walls have been placed.

The anchorlocker (the place were the anchor hangs when it's on the ship) is being build.
There are coming 2 of them, and the one on the portside is almost finished.

Hello guys,

Here are some pics.

In this thing (how do you call that?) are coming the anchors.

These parts will be the thing showed above but will come at the other side.

And last but not least, an overallview.

Hi there Josse she coming on well. 1 question on your up date on the 7th dec no (70) you have a photo of the foundation of the asipods and they seam to run parallel to the shape of your hull. At the rear were they are sited, the hull run on a slope ups to the rear and a slope up wards from the keel. This would put the asipods not vertical on 2 axis is this what you intend to do.
