There will be indoor flying in the Riverview Lutheran Church Gym on Saturday, March 13 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The cost will be $5.00 per person. The church is located at 136 Seymour St., Appleton, WI.
The event is being organized by a member of the Calumet Flyers; I have been told that the gym measures about 70 feet x 95 feet.

3D?! I wish! Just soloed this season, so I have a bit of practice to do before I get there.

I will check out the cub, thanks!

Three good planes for the beginning indoor flyer are:
1 - Hobbyzone Champ
2 - Parkzone Ember
3 - Parkzone Vapor

A lot of experience flying outdoors does not translate into immediately being a successful indoor flyer. It's a whole new ballgame when your flying is constrained by four walls and a ceiling. Buy something that is relatively slow and use it to get the feel for flying indoors. When you can fly several flights a day until the batteries die without hitting the walls/ceiling/floor/other pilots/other planes and repeat doing this for two or three sessions then it is time to think about moving on to something more aerobatic. Remember, no successful full-scale pilot ever started out by soloing in a P-51!

Horizon had a combo deal on the champ, free extra battery with purchase. So im like hmm batteries are only $X lets add 2 more. Then there was an ad for "charge 4 batteries at once" and i was like hey sweet! "Requires JST connector"... hmm have to get an adapter for that. Better throw in some extra props too.

You guys are dangerous

If anyone has an old micro parkzone that they're not using, Pteroworks has these for $49 bucks. It comes with everything but the rx and battery.
Mine went together in just a few hours.

Traeger school hours limited Sunday January 23rd !!

Hi All,

Indoor flying at Traeger Middle School in Oshkosh on Sunday January 23rd will end at 2 PM instead of the usual 4 PM.

We will all need time to get to a place to watch the Packers beat the Bears, starting at 2 PM Sunday afternoon.
