I don't think it's too big of a deal to talk about our clubs and locations a little in this thread.

Unfortunately I've only been to Oregon once and it was when I was only about 8 or 9. It's very pretty in that part of the country. MY Benton County is in northwest Arkansas.

Not the best of pictures. But it's the Montrose Model Aircraft Association field.. long since updated with starting tables and a few other changes.

BTW, what's all the green stuff in the other pictures?

Wow, that's a lot of open space you got there. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to the WAA-08 plane getting out that way and posing on your runway.

The club owns 80 acres. And its surrounded by BLM land, so almost 0 chance of anything else ever being out there.

SAPB Park Flyer Field

Here's a picture at our new Park Flyer field. It's in the heart of San Antonio. If I had been thinking I could have gotten an airliner on final approach. The glide path is about a mile north of the field. Right now we are working out the details about membership requirements but for now we are sticking with Park Flyer Rules for the airplanes. No gliders, sorry, the airliners aren't a problem but the airport is an attraction to gen av planes that could easily be a thermaling glider height.

No this is on private property on the other side of airport. Like most public parks practically every bit of open space in McAllister Park is covered by soccer fields.

Thought I would post an update.. Thorton Field, home of The Benton County Flying Tigers, had major ice damage here in Northwest Arkansas last week. So today about 12 members of our club got together and cleaned up our field. Took us about 3.5hrs. We were able to remove a few "problem" trees due to damage. Compare these pictures to the ones I posted earlier.
