How did you ever get a tame kestrel?

Here is a video of this mornings test flights. It did not go well. Any constructive input is appreciated. I plan on adding a vertical tail and carving out fuselage to allow weight to be shifeted further forward. I am hoping those of you more familiar with this type of design may have suggestions.

Where is your CG? Do you have any right/down thrust to counter torque roll. Are the wings warped or have equal incidence along their span? Is the tail incidence on the same plane as the wing? How much power were you applying during the launch? Lots of things could be affecting the stability and flight characteristics.

Agreed with Tom's point of views, there are many causes against the issue.
my suggestions if you don't mind:
1. lower down the attack angle,max.0.25 degree for the bird,my kestrel is set on
0 degree.
2. move CG a bit forward between 25% to 30%
3. add a leg as fin below the fuselage instead of vertical fin,the pics below maybe
a good idea,it's not my bird.

Adjustments

In my experience with flying wings which is what you have the CG should be around 20% and even as little as 15% to start. Most of us flew at 21 or 22% when we got used to our wing. Further back and it is twittchy and needs very little input. How do you have it set up in your radio as a v-tail plane or rudder-vator? I would set it up so your turns are made with the ailerons and did not see them responding in conjunction with your elevator movements. It would be best to have all that working in conjunction with this kind of plane. It looks like you have some high grass to throw into so do some hand tosses until you can get it to glide. Usually a wing has a little reflex in the surface so not sure how you have it trimmed but tape weight to the nose outside the cockpit to get it to glide. I had one wing that would torque roll when power was applied too quickly but when up to speed power would then not make it roll. Hope this helps your beautiful bird to fly.

As Im a falcon and a hawk lover, I would like so much to build one for me. This thread from Lee has free plans? Could anyone post some free plans for me?

Thank you so much!

Joel, just ad a transparant vertical fin and your falcon will fly properly. Your color sheme is awesome! Today I did fly with wild birds again:

Really cool Robert. I cannot balance my bird as is and have decided to cut the wing in 1/2 and sweep the wings to move CG point back. Grey area will be added midwing.

I am posting this video here of an unsuccessful powered flight after glide test indicated adding weight to the nose stabilised it. Hoping someone in these forums will have a solution or at least pinpoint the cause of the problem.
