Well..this planes came faster from Hong Kong than I expected

I was hoping the stripes were orange, not pink. bummer.
Any damage at all to the plane from shipping?

This is a big model and looks impressive although there is some minor shipping damage here and there..some minor dents and scratches in the foam but otherwise looks pretty good so far. The Foam looks similar to Z Foam only smoother. It is thick to so its not a flimsy model.

this should be removable. This plane has 4 servos mounted. 1 aileron servo for ailerons and 1 for the flaps. The ESC is an 18 amp with 4 cells.

edit..the wing does have some dihedral. I will correct that statement to say "The wing has a small amount of dihedral".

IDK. You could always drill some holes I guess. Some firewall mounts are 4 screws, this one has 3 screws with a plastic spacer that determines the thrust angles. I know this motor don't look like much but its been reported to have plenty of power.

Actually Jay I have only scratched the surface on this one. there is quite a bit of linkage and setup work to do. All I have really done at this point is mount the rear main Landing gear There is an electronic circuit board in black shrink tubing that has a bunch of wires that control the lights..it has a landing light (2 white LEDS) and red\green LED's on the wing tips and 2 more red LED's on top of the wing. There is no receiver in this plane either so all that needs done and I'm thinking I'll use a DSM setup in here.

Thanks for this thread Modfly. I have had my eye on this plane for a while. I like tricycles anyway and this one is big too. Is there any info on that motor? It does look like a TowerPro motor but I wonder what the kv is.

Can't wait to get your maiden flight report. I may have to go ahead and break down and get one of these.

Yes, a good review so far and im looking forward to the rest, and the flight report. This is a very good look into this very nicely done ARF.
And I agree on the graphics,..........why pink? And furthermore I have seen this trend in ARFs for a long time now of having the planes pre-decorated and I dont see why they just dont include the decals and leave it up to the modeler to apply, or choose his own decorations. The way they are doing it just makes it harder in the end if the modeler has to try and remove them and perhaps damaging the surface in the process. I believe the modeler should have that choice.
Tha motor/ESC combo looks like the same thing in my Christen Eagle. As it also sports a bell type motor, and an 18a ESC. It however wieghs less than this Cessna at 24oz, the Cessna being what uhhh 33.5oz or so?

But it still comes down to the wingloading, and in the end the actual flight itself cause the proof is always in the pudding. So im looking forward to that.

I found the manufacturer's website, and saw a couple video's and one was with plane on floats,(which means the power pkg surely is plenty) but not much more info without contacting them by e-mail.
Note also that in the video of the land based one, its a different paint scheme.............Blue & White which I like much better.
