Well after messing with a Blade 130X over Christmas and having mixed results ... I'm happy I still have my Ricco.

Unfortunately I came home to a broken Ricco thanks to a big house cat. Broken CF blade and stipped servo gear.

Last month at our indoor meet things got a bit out of hand. There was one pilot who seemed pretty confident with his 130X, but when he flew his 450 it was a different story. Those things eat up too much space too quickly indoors. He crashed into the pits and missed a bunch of people by inches. As a result the organizer of the event has banned helis larger than the 130X size. Its a pity because I was looking forward to flying my Ricco more over the rest of the winter.

A broken Ricco still looks better than a brand new Blade 130x..

Hey Guys, somehow I've accumulated 3 Maxirs and I really only need one. I'll be posting two for sale in the heli classifieds soon but I thought I would post here also. PM me if you have any interest and I provide specifics. Thanks, Joe

If it was any other heli I'd tell you too keep them for spares, but with the Ricco you really only need a few spares. The rest of the heli just doesn't break.

Bummer. Perhaps ask the organizer if you can "demo" your skills and the Ricco to show that you operate in a safe manner?

I can't imagine why anyone would think a 450 could be safely flown indoors!

Sweet! That'll solve the problem.

Enjoyed quite a few 450 machines over the years all rather fast one can argue over how good the pilot is but when things go wrong you sure want to get to cover.

I like the slower speed of the Ricco, visually I don't think it's any harder to see than my Blade 450X.

Just a FYI: THe LA700 and 600 has become available finally!

I'm looking into shipping options, it looks very nice! (Have to have one myself!)

The pictures look good, I wonder what the expectation is on battery size , I was trying to decipher from the pics if the bottom tray was accommodating for batteries along with the front mount.

Batteries are all on the top angle - nothing in the bottom

There are a bunch of videos on youtube - search for la700 or la600

If any of you are interested, I have a YGE-18 w/ program card for sale. I've lowered the price to $50 for the pair.

This came off my Ricco. I'm much more comfortable with a Phoenix 25 when it comes to gov mode. It may not be better, but for me it's just simpler to program.
