GP Cessna W/scorpion outrunner.
Hey guys, Ive been wanting to convert my GP cessna 182 for a while now. But dont feel like spending $120 on an axi, or hacker atm. So Ive been researching scorpion motors, and they have been getting a lot of good reviews. Just wanted to get your thoughts on the motor Im thinking of using in my cessna. The plane is said to weigh 5-6 lbs, I havent weighed it myself since it still has the glow engine in it. So im sticking with those numbers. Im looking at the Scorpion 3020-12 http://www.innov8tivedesigns.com/pro...products_id=76
I currently have a TENERGY 30C 2200mah 3s lipo that I would like to use until I get a new 4s lipo. Would my current lipo rated at 66amp continuous be enough to power the 3020-12, or am I pushing the lipo to close to its limits. Granted I wont be pulling a ton of amps for very long, just during take offs. I want it to fly scale, but still have enough power to get out of trouble if trouble comes a knockin. What prop and esc would you recommend with that setup for the cessna? Thanks.
