James - I had 2 small problems so far.

1. The back of the canopy that holds the washer did not fit with the rest of the canopy assemble as advertised. I had to trim off the legs of the back piece and glue it to the rest of the assemble with a piece or tri-stock.

2. The trim lines on the plastic canopy seem to be to off. If you follow them, then canopy will be just a tad too short (length wise). Ask me how I know

No real worries, but curious if anyone else has had these problems.

I had the same problem with the fit up, and also with the canopy being too short.

I do have a question though. Which aileron servo mount do I need to use for the HXT500 servos?

Trim the front of the base so the canopy goes further back.

Not sure what you are talking about on the head rest not fitting.

It's not designed specifically for the HXT500 servo. Your going to have to fit it . How much does that servo weigh?

Canopy mounted

Some trimming of the base and headrest are required.

Try the servo mount labeled DSP60. That is for the Spektrum servo which looks like the same servo.

James, I got the 3dx completed. I was planning on using the battery from my micro ssx in it, but it is too long to fit and still close the hatch. It is a PQ 400 mah 2s pack. What battery do you recommend?

Another option -- although currently out of stock...

I have several sizes of Rhinos -- 2S and 3S -- some for several months -- and all have performed wonderfully.
