Obama's plan to increase taxes on the rich (ok by me) and then use that money in refundable tax credit schemes (not ok by me) rather than reducing the deficit is clearly a wealth redistribution plan. Obama finally will have the power to implement these ideas drilled into him by Rev Wright, Ayers and others during his life as a community organizer/liberal politician.

For a scary look at the enormity of his financial plans, read this: How's Obama Going to Raise $4.3 Trillion?

So, if Obama wins, the whole country can just sit back, not try to advance themselves and let the government take care of our needs.

Since I will get the same as someone who works their butt off, I think I'll just sit around and goof off for a bit.

The government can take care of the problems of a lowering productivity. We can be a nation of "gimme's".

Just remember, "All animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others."

Agreed!

I envision HUGE, complex programs that work with the incredible success of ACORN. As we've seen time and time again, you cannot pay the unhirable enough to be productive. That won't stop them though

Hmmmm, sounds like someone does need to read some Orwell.

Created equal?

My republican congressman Paul Ryan must have felt it was a good thing, he voted for it twice. I'm saying poor business decisions should NOT be rewarded with public bailouts.

By the way, this radio interview was found by a single person - not NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, Fox, NYT, etc etc.. Shame on the media for being so disinterested in Obama, yet so interested in Palin's clothes.

God help us if this guy is elected, and Congress remains Democratic.

Quote:
We have, in our storied history, elected Democrats and Republicans, liberals and conservatives and moderates. We have fought, and will continue to fight, pitched battles about how best to govern this nation. But we have never, ever in our 232-year history, elected a president who so completely and openly opposed the idea of limited government, the absolute cornerstone of makes the United States of America unique and exceptional.

If this does not frighten you regardless of your political affiliation then you deserve what this man will deliver with both houses of Congress, a filibuster-proof Senate, and, to quote Senator Obama again, a righteous wind at our backs.

That a man so clear in his understanding of the Constitution, and so opposed to the basic tenets it provides against tyranny and the abuse of power, can run for president of the United States is shameful enough.

Take a small group and give them the power to decide who they take money from and who they give it too. What could possibly go wrong?

I think the term often used by those on the left, which would be fitting in regard to CEO's that get this insane benefit packages, is that it is 'statistically insignificant' in relation to the number of CEO's out there.

When the Government places regulations on business that cause that business to become unprofitable and the business moves off shore who's fault is it?

Obama WILL raise everyone's taxes, it's plain as day. He wants to let the Bush tax cuts sunset. Low side will got from 10% to 15% and the high side from 35% to 39.6%. Everyone in the middle nearly the same amount of increase.

I fault NAFTA for a lot of our problems along with other government programs.

I had high hopes for the Bush admin but they too went the way of the democrats and started spending like drunken sailors. The Dems had a bad habit of calling a less than full increase in a budget item a budget cut.

yes, everyone knows there is no better example of unchecked capitalism than conditions actually consisting of tens of thousands of pages of regulation

the folks hoping you'll blame what doesn't exist for the problems that what does exist has resulted in, thank you

I posit you're insane not to pay attention to his statements during the campaign combined with his past statements and his voting record, and stated worldview

Odd, I don't know of any capitalists here defending that dip into taxpayer pockets
