The omega 103 or the Omega 130 for the new Edge? The current 47" Edge and Extra use the 103g, but the 48" Velox uses the 130g powerplant. The new Edge is 48" so I was thinking maybe it would be closer to the Velox? I guess I should be patient and just wait until 3DHS officially releases the specs and suggested components. If I don't act impusively here and order it now I might start worrying what the wife will say about another plane in the garage...

I would like to know if the new edge will take the equipment from the 47'' extra 300 SHP? Tho I do not want my SHP to die anytime soon.

Motor is Omega 130 gram, HS65 servos, 55 esc

I don't know... I hope it transfers over ok. I'm sure someone smarter than me will pipe up soon I think the 47 edge could have gotten away with a smaller motor if you never planned to use 4s on it. I can't imagine the 103g not being enough for a plane only 1" bigger as it has PLENTY of power on 3s 2200 or 2650 packs in the 47. So I guess we are waiting for someone smarter with a more authoritative response than mine. I'm just basing it on my current experience with the 47 and thinking it won't be more than an oz or so heavier.

By the way... I got two packs in on my 47 this morning on my way to work. 47 Edge how sweet the sound!

So what happened? Yesterday I found this thread but at that time no mention of pre-sales. Then this afternoon from work I saw a link to the 3DHS for a blue 48" and the link worked. Great, can't purchase from work PC but when I get home...so I get home and the link no longer works. Did they pull it? Did I miss the who thing in less than 24 hours? Oh good greif.

I think it said the link was sourced from the addicts thread. I guess I now need to find that one and subscribe.

But I swaer, less than an hours drive across Houston ago it was on their web page and available.

Guess there is more to the learning curve then just learning to assemble and fly. Ya gotta learn how to buy as well

I just ordered an 51" Slick and I've been told it has just been delivered so it's waiting for me. I was actually looking for this exact plane to use it with my current packs.... I wish I would have known....

I just saw on the addicts thread they are recommending the Omega 130g for the 48" Edge along with a hacker 55A esc and hs-65 servos.
