Wanted-Graupner Spirit of St Louis

Beautiful model, but they never imported them into the States. Not to my knowledge anyway. Go figure! Last year was the 75th anniversary of that historic flight, and you would think they would have been everywhere. If anyone has one or knows of someplace where I can buy one, please let me know. I will be away for a few weeks, but feel free to post, and if I can gain access to the e-zone from Florida I will reply. If not, I will get back to anyone with one on or about March 5th. Tom Smith

I think Great Planes has a Spirit of St. louis that might be easier to obtain.

Tom, I would not recommend the Great Planes Spirit of St. Louis. I looks good but that is the end of the story. Very fragil, landing gear will not survive...etc. many negatives. I built one for a friend so have been there and done that.

Thanks. I know most of Great Planes stuff is not very good. I have had several run ins with that outfit. Both glow and electric. Some guys just can't read. I asked for someone who has or knows where I can get a "GRAUPNER" Spirit of St Louis. Tom
