New F18-Starmax with landing gears

Hie, I got some pics of the new F18-Starmax, 90 mm FAN unit, no Idea of motor and ESC, It seems more better than the FMS F18. Is the same that Banahobby will sell in few weeks under the name RCBlitz F-18. I got this pictures from Taft at the Shanghai fair!

Not the same. But you are right the F5 gear is BAD. I do hope StarMax has corrected their problems from the F5 gear in this new gear. Andy any info?

How about some 90mm F-18 Vigilante R/C suspenion gear for this bird? Maybe a set that will work with the retracts will need to be looked at. (Picture is of the 70mm F-18 with gear attached...)

The picture shows to you which is a prototype. So the appearance is much rough.
I think a retract landing gear which use on a model with 3 kg could not have any mistake. But I always work hard, of course, there is never have perfect design in the world.

Andy,
I think you do a good job of striking a balance between price... and the cost of equipment.

My Starmax F-18 (64mm) was worth every penny and has many great flights on it.

This new F-18 is beautiful! I'm looking forward to learning more.

Holy Good God!! I'm in!! Just what I have been looking for...a 90mm F-18 with retracts!! Those retracts look similar to the OK retracts from Hobby Lobby or Great Planes units.....both are super smooth with very little slop and possitive up and down locks making them alot easier to set up than most mechanicals....Great job!

I am very curious to hear de real sound of this FAN UNIT, the F-5 was a bit strange a bit cheap, but correct for the price! It seems that the new motor in the F18 comes from Germany (?)......

This one is a little big for me,but great effort Andy!Just what I like to see, drop tanks and ordinance, now if we could only get that for the smaller jets you have designed it would be fantastic!!
