What wide angle for Aiptek C100??

I tried this one on ebay but dont focus because (I suppose is too long)

http://cgi.ebay.it/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=260291967429

Any suggestion (maybe on ebay)?

I also confirm that C100 work with no problem with Remzibi OSD.

I think this one is much too wide for he big 5mp chip
try a 3.6mm..i think thats what I am using...and even this is a bit too wide but it does focus (really close though)

Thanks for all the info guys. Very interesting reading. I made it through all 42 pages also. About 2 hours worth.
If I understand correctly 60 frames per second reduces blurring vs. 30 fps? The Sony Webbie only does 30fps so I guess that's its limitation. Its form factor sure is a plus.
When I attempt to watch the various online videos to compare quality they all appear low rez/low frame rate.
Am I doing something wrong?

Bottom line.. Either the Webbie or the Aiptek a-hd+ 1080p will produce similar results and is a good starting point.
Is this correct?
thanks

You must compare original videos, what is on the web is too much compressed to see the real quality.
At 1280 * 720 30fps, yes, both produce almost the same IQ, Sony having a bit wider coverage (FOV)
Aiptek 1280 * 720 60fps is a different story, though, wish to have this in Sony body...

I'm also thinking of making this modification.
I want to put the camera in a box and I can't measure it now.

Can anyone tell me the exact sizes of the module in the image?

Thanx

has anyone compared the raw footage from a panasonic lumix fx35 or fx37 to the A-HD+ in 720p60fps? The panasonic only shoots in 720p 30fps, but it is a CCD sensor, and a "real" wide lens, so maybe better image quality? Haven't decided between these 2 yet...

OK.. So you are saying the Aiptek 1280 x 720 60fps is noticebly better than the Sony @ 30 fps. Is this due to motion blurring?
Thank you
Tom

Less jumpy, more fluent movement, not related at all to bluriness, static image quality seems the same to me.

Sorry, this is a bit offtopic, but which of the Aiptek HD cameras supports recording video from the ground using the composite input cables? I've trashed my HD cam, looking for a decent replacement that can also replace my crappy recorder. If possible the cam shouldn't stop recording just because of glitches ...

Any help is greatly appreciated. If you know of another brand cam also let me know pls.

I made this video to compare diferent aiptek 1080+ camera modes with a Sony hdr sr12 full hd camera . I even made a little surgery and change the aiptek original lense with a ccdkiller one , itīs also infrared fltered and wide angle . In another view I use a wide adapter for the Sony in the aiptek , just to compare .

I appreciate all the info presented here on this thread. I just picked up a A-HD+ 1080 from Amazon w/ 8gb mem card for $139.70 shipped from Amazon and not one of their sub market vendors (6th AVE etc).
I don't understand some of these comparison videos posted here. They include different resolutions and frame rates but when posted on Vimeo / YouTube they play back as 504 pixels x 284pix x @ 25 fps or less. Whats the point. After the video is processed and compressed to death it reminds me of Alberto's avatar.....
Just my 2 cents...

If you want to see the real video you just have to download from Vimeoīs web page and watch it fron your hard disk.
