part of the concept was to allow the use of a full size Rx
unfortunately i prefer to use a stick Tx,(futaba 3gr) which can only be used with full size Rx(with a big lump on the top for the antenna)
which means anyone with a spektrum, can run the micro Rx and have more room to play with.

as for loosing the moving rider.
i was more concerned with making this a performance upgrade.
trying to get it to work like the larger 1/8 and 1/5 bikes.

if a micro servo is used(mounted on the side of the chassis) a moving rider should still be possible.
when the performance side is under control, im sure throttlejunkie will be putting a moving rider on his.

the chassis is 3d printed out of nylon, and yes i am thinking of making it available to those that want one. (but not till i am happy with it)

cheers

It looks great , i will be using a micro servo & rx & yes i will be working on using the moving rider & direct steer then we will have to work on a way to mount the body panels for the bike it should be fun i can't wait.

Thanks again m8

Cheers.

something for you to look forward to
the crashbar is still the temporary setup.
with the bar moved to where i want it, using a lighter gauge rod, and a roller setup on the tips. it should be a lot nicer.
at the moment it is hard to start from the crashbars, and they tend to catch the surface of the bitumen.

but i did run without the crashbars as a trial.
the lean angle was limited by the width of the axles
but was really good to that point

110605 (7 min 14 sec)

cheers

Awesome A, looks like it's handling real well, im still waiting for the Ado mk-1 chassis to arrive should be here today hopefully
Some bearings on your crash bars would probably help your starting from the bars as well, as the bars i have don't seem to catch at all, & when i am starting from the crash bar im not sure if its the rider or the bars but i have to shift the rider to the opposite side to which the bike is leaning & it stands straight up, i just made up a hat cam myself to try & get some footage i will see if i can get down the track today & test it.

Cheers m8.

the crashbar was only ever meant to be a temporary measure to do some testing.... it did that succesfully.

was actually expecting to need more testing than it did.... not even an hour of running, and im happy to get an almost final version made.

lukey.
you keen to do some vac forming in the near future???
looks like i am going to need a wrapper for this little sucker sooner than expected

cheers

waiting for the putty to dry. will do some more carving through the week.

will contact you when i am happy with the shape. then we can talk surface finish, and mold lines

let me know if you need any hardware for your setup. have lots of bits laying around that could be useful.

Hey guys... I just found the Losi Micro T brushless combo on evilbay for about $50 bucks, sounds reasonable yeah..?

Ado... The main thing I need for the vacuum set up is a vacuum pump...

luke

i got my losi brushless from toadz rc on evilbay.

have used him several times. cheap and fast service. highly recomended.

you might want to hold off on buying a brushless yet.

i have the 8750kv in it at the moment.
but have a 10250kv on its way to try. well see which is the one to get

if you want to come over and take it for a test run let me know.... but it is on sticks. unless we bind it to petes 3pk?

as for the vacuum pump..... let me make a couple of calls.

cheers

Brushless Silverlit With Direct Steer Track Test

I finally got some footage of my silverlit on the track, footage is not great as i also used a cap cam & it needed to be angled up more, & i also need more track time to work out the right lines & the counter steer still catches me out now & then but i had a blast & i am still running my L plates, but its so much better for the track with direct steer.
I am still getting a high speed wobble , hey Ado have you noticed a high speed wobble in your chassis with the twin shocks on the rear like when you are flat out.
That chassis has not arrived yet i think it may have gone missing in action Aust post i hate them

Cheers.

i just spoke to my favorite medical equipment repair man.

a loaner vac pump should be here this week.
will run to -80kpa. combined with an old oxy bottle as a reservoir.
that should be enough sucking to keep you happy

cheers

Very nice

But .. maybe too much power

Guess stock motor with 2S lipo is enough.

I would need to copy your "bars" ... stock crash bars are terrible ...

Tchuss
